150w HPS - will it be enough?

just got done a grow with a 150hps.........it has no penetrating power, for me the top canopy was fine but everything under it was fluffy popcorn bud. if your going to use it just get cfl's below that canopy.

right on brother- - so is that definitely enough for 2 plants to reach 2 ft or enough just for one? loll, as you can see lots of ideas are jumbled here.

how cheap we talking man?

they were going to be no bigger than a ft or two (2ft) in total.
how many ft/inch of penetrating power does it have?

the hps is already in that format (red/orange spec. wise) so i was thinking maybe add some daylight cfls ?

adding xtra lights will always help out better and having the daylight cfls will keep the plant more bushy then lengthy.

well that's not to bad, the bushier the more clusters will form

Grows very bushy.
Plants are 31 days from seed.

just bear in mind 150hps in not enough... but its time to correct me... & u keep goin

i had a 150 hps and a couple cfls on 1 plant, and it yielded about an ounce and a half

Its my first grow so I cant say much about it aside from what i've seen so far.
I started under 22k lumens of CFLS then swithced to this setup.
Made a big difference on lower leaves/branches.
But i will keep posting...hopefuly it will be good news

That looks like my very first setup, i had 4 plants in 4 gallon pots under a single 150 hps had alot of newbie problems heat and all that junk but still got almost qt a plant

Yeah...I should be eable to sex them in a couple weeks...just switced 12/12.
Hopefuly Ill get at least 1!
I have no expectations at all for this 1st grow...Bagseeds so I tested a bit with them.

I Used 150w Hps In a 2x4 with Great Success ......

My area is 20" x 20" so I thinks itll be plenty!

what kind of cfl supp. you got going on next to the 150?

sounds great, hopefully i can at least get something near 7-11 g's off 1.
i really only want to test this and see how well it taste.

nothing to fancy. i was told i should grow only one plant (got a raw diesel and bubba in there) and just go with the one. but i'd like to bust out both of them

how did it make a bigger difference?- and penetrating power wise, with cfls you need to surround them bishes with em, what do you need to do with the 150? i know i might serve well on it's on but idk?

well damn, over 11k + the 16k, now a bad setup but i don't have a lot of money so should i just go off the bubba plant (1 instead of with 2)?
maybe the 16k lums will be enough for 1- or would 2 plants suck it up?
