So this 8yr old mag 1k ballast quit working after 2 grows.I got a 600 digi and never bothered with this until recently when I opened it up to discover it got fried at the 120/240 switch.I only use the 120 and wondered if I can just bypass the switch and hard wire the 120?
The top connection where the yellow common wire connects from is the on/off switch which goes into the coils where the 120 (black/yellow) and 240 (purple) end up as well.
The middle right is the power cord plug (fine)
The bottom is the fried 120/240 connection. Both 120/240 are connected here that go into the coils. There is a black (fried) wire that connects this to the on/off switch that I can replace.
Im thinkin I should just be able to cut and cap the 240 at the fried connection. Then connect the 120 to the on/off switch where the fried black wire is but thats just a HUGE guess as I hate working with electricity and never messed with it.Thats why im here, to ask the experienced Thx!
