First time doing this so might run in to a few problems here and there.
Im going to be starting of with a Blueberry clone, should be arriving tomorrow

grow box is going to be under a table, so it will have fairly easy access.
Before:

so just starting of simple, only got two (23W daybright+amberish one) clf's at the moment but will get more later. two computer fans (one in and one out) and thermostat to switch the lights of if it gets to hot in the box.

my thermometer broke so not sure at what temp the box is getting to :-|

After

(has a door that swings down)

3am: finally got the clone, its a wee pretty little thing:

going to run a 18:6 light cycle for now, (that ok?)
looks like it was watered before being transported, so ill let it be, scared i might over water it. haha want this to work sooo much

Update: plants looking kind of droopy atm, hope its not enough water (easy problem to fix) but the soil still looks kinda damp?

-e-
borrowed a thermometer and it shows that the box with the fans off is 22.5*c. I had the fans on lastnight so temp was around 18/19*c could this of made the plant droop?

Thanks <3

when i checked the plant this morning it had perked up back to normal so im guessing that the problem was over watering.

went out and got another light and an electric timer today.
with the new light the box is at around 24*c (75*F) with the fans off. so im hoping growth will pick up now that its got a little bit more light and little bit more heat.

just a quick question, is there anything wrong with putting the plant on the window sill during the day to get some of the good ol' sun?

as long as you dont mess with the light cycle too much. every living thing appreciates the sun.

just extra stress. the plant gets comfortable in rhythms. when you mix it up it just adds stress.

But a quick health and safty pointer
try to have you electrics out of the way either not in ur box or at least higher than ur plant water and electrics dont mix well and you wouldn't wont ur plant to get the chair!

yep, its just a temp set up for now. still i take the plant out to water it so theirs no watter getting close to the mains ;)

quick update:
lastnight the gorwbox temp was 83F/27c so the plant started to feel the burn. after a quick nap she was back to normal.

I've decided to add some Co2 to grow but i had run out of yest so I rigged up a quick solution. used a sodastream to add the Co2 to water, so it should slowly bubble out over the night.

Also have decided to remove the 3rd light to keep the temperature down until I sort out my fans. (they are to loud, trying to figure out something more stealth)

Two pictures today, shes finally gotten used to her new home and has started to show signs of new growth :)

:peace:

Well its been a while, but im back in to it.
there was a period of me getting rather impatient and then getting angry at the plans progress which resulted in some neglect.

but after some reading up on things about growing and what not, what i was doing wrong started to make sense Eg;lack of light, over water/under water, temp being to hot/cold. All of which I was putting the plant through at different stages

Due to all this stress the clone lost a few leaves and it seems to have shrunken a bit to :?

I thought a bit more about the set up of the grow box, and have changed it a bit, also have finaly done something about my fan issue.
made a little box with a power supply fan in it (a lot more silent this way) so it pulls out hot air from the grow box, this sits out behind the draws of the bench. I also made an air filter for it to help with the smell in the latter stages :blsmoke:

Im still having problems giving the plant acquit amount of lighting (small space, gets hot to quickly), but at least with the fan/s on now i am able to have 3 lights on comfortably.
Its very annoying not being able to find CFL's over 23Watts anywhere

the inside of the box is Gloss white, so thats pritty reflective no?, but ill sort something out.

Ive already started making a new grow area (an underground one :p) its going to be a fair bit bigger so will be able to use some decent lighting, yay.
