now i am seeing nut deficiency and over fert at the same time....bugs? root aphids again?
i am seriously thinking of giving up growing.
Dude. I know, I know, I know how you feel!! Most people who I've pointed toward my thread I've been telling them to start reading from November forward because March through August was a growing disaster for me.
But for you I ask you read them from the beginning. I literally pulled the plug to my cab in August and left my plants to die in the dark. Five weeks later I opened the cab to take out the carcasses and blow the mineral salts out of the bottoms of the dried out water tanks.
In the end of October, I was fired, after 22 years...and I was set free. After two weeks of reconnecting with friends and family and enjoying my new found freedom, I walked out to the garage, opened up the cab, fired up the light and a smile crossed my face!! I can do this!!
I rethought the whole plan and put it in motion. Then I learned patience (one of the hardest lessons for a grower to overcome) and how to take it slow and not panic.
Growing pot is a state of mind. It's a science and art all wrapped together. My friend, you may not be in the right state of mind right now. You can never just quit growing, it's just a matter of how long of a hiatus you will take before you return
and you will return.
Here's what slowing down, tuning in, not panicking and trusting yourself that you can do anything you want to do when you put your heart in it and focus.
Let me show you a recent story through the eyes of my plant. It hasn't been perfect.
12/15/2010 - A day or so after coming home
12/21/2010 - Trouble in river city. Patience. Time to put on my thinking cap as well as ask for help from my pals here on RIU.
1/22/2010 - 5 weeks of vegging from the day she came home, 2 weeks approaching death and 3 weeks to get back to this
1/29/2010 - 6 weeks and she is one angry bitch trying to break free from the screen. She's forcing me, happily, into 12/12 starting tomorrow. She's the Queen of the Cab!
So my recommendation, slow down, turn these plants into your lab. Do your best, go slow, and just observe them, even if it means watching them die.
You will learn something, and that is good.
Trust yourself...I do.
