1st Grow, Condensing my threads. Blueberry X OG Kush

So I posted on my journal (which apparently not many people do, they just start a thread in the grow journal deal) and now I am consolidating my journal to a single thread (much easier to deal with) Sorry for any duplication.

Initially 5 clones, then 4 plants (chose to throw out smallest one)
They are going into DWC
GH 3 part
GH floralicious Gro
GH floralicious Bloom
GH Diamond Nectar
GH FLorakleen
GH Azamax (preventative)

I am a legal Prop 215 who isn't going to even push the 6 plant limit. I may ask for a lot of help, but if this works I may have found a new hobby if I don't get too stressed.

The box is from Ikea. its a dombas
http://onlinecatalog.ikea-usa.com/2011/ikea_catalog/US/
pg 179 bedroom, towards bottom right. 2 different compartments.
Both 19" deep, both like 65" tall or something. Btw this thing is perfectly in my closet with room to spare and it only cost 99$. I have a shelf on the smaller right side towards the top for clones. That is all that is being used right now. The total area is 19" X 22". After this 5 clones I have (if they all make it) will veg for a week or two split up in the bigger two compartments. I'm going to put 2 in 5 Gal buckets (net pot lids with hydroton) DWC to the left larger compartment with the 400W HPS. The other 3 will be in 2 gallon buckets with 4" netpot lids in them. the 2 gallon ones will be smaller and Lollipopped later on. There will be 230 watts CFL for the 3 smaller plants.

I am using General Hydroponics professional recirculating feeding schedule.
Flora series Gro/Bloom/Hardwater Micro (my tap is 200) Floralicious Gro and Bloom. Diamond Nectar, and I have florakleen. I have ph up and down, ph test paper (settled for it this time, my lab uses the same paper, know its good.) I'll get a pH meter maybe later this month. I also have a TDS meter. it was just calibrated and is working well. The box has a humidifier active intake (humidifier blowing into right smaller area along with a passive intake. it then goes up to where the clones are (only part of box being used currently) then to flower room then through carbon filter/sealed light hood and exaused into attic near vent (with bugtrap on that side).

I have azamax I am going to put in the DWC within the first week as another preventative measure. I'm running GH Expert Recirculating schedule. The DWC will have a total of about 13-14 gallons and I have an 18 watt pump with 4 outs attached to 6" air stones.

I hope I have caught myself up. I may put my room design in another thread....

The Strain is Blueberry X OG Kush.

Day 1 = 9/26/2010 (day I picked up clone from collective, they were probably 7-14 days old)

I Brought the 5 clones home (noticed they already had hairs showing) the roots look beautiful.
They were probably 3-4 inches with several nodes. The temps were initially up to about 82 and the humidity was a problem, I kept them in a Dome until I could put a humidifier in.

I initially fed them with Ph 6 h2o with a gentle mix of nutrients (it was initially too much but backed it off a bit.) I had been spraying them when I could to keep humidity up.
The humidity is in the upper 30's now, so that is good.

Later they went into the buckets (after 1 week of being in their rapid rooters and container in the humidity dome. They were initially under 69 watts of 6500k CFL. The 3 smallest were moved up to being under 8 23 Watt CFL(some 6500k some 2700k) in 2 gallon buckets (5" net pots) and the 2 bigger plants went under the 400Watt HPS in the other side of the wardrobe.

10/3/2010 is when the second batch of photos were taken.
after 1 week of being under the lights (at their first res change after being put into the buckets, I removed the smallest crappy clone that I didn't like initially. It freed some room up in the box and I like having 4 nice developing plants.
They were put in 350 or so PPM.

The humidifier is in the cabinet now. Keeping high temp to about 80-83 and the low to about 70. I am happy with this for now, but when I add a few more CFL's or have clones and a grow going at once I may want some more fans.

These most recent photos are from a few days ago. I will be changin the res later today, (and doing a flush before I switch to transition nutes.) and will get some more photos up. The roots are huge and the water in the buckets is staying nice and low now.

When I change the res's today I will flush with florakleen for a couple hours while mixing the new nute solution of about 600ppm.

The plants have grown so beautiful in the last few days, a Little bit of nute burn is fading and so I am happy with them. They are all about 10" tall with nodes being very close together and fan leaves looking happy.

The plants are getting what I think is the maximum amount of light they could use. In this footprint of 19" by ~55" I have a 400watt HPS and 8 23 Watt CFL's currently.

I will show root porn later today and pictures of the large plants without the bullshit HPS light frequency messing with the camera.

These pictures are 3-4 days old and the plants have each grown LEAPS and BOUNDS since then.

I was re-reading the first post, and sorry for being so stoned and repeating myself a few times.

:-)

New pictures from today. Roots are from the second largest plant.

I switched guys to 12/12 today and transition nutes @ 600 ppm and Ph 6.0

the roots look amazing. I also changed the plants into a florakleen flush today for 3 hours before I changed res again with transition nutes. Moved CFL's further up (they were almost touching some leaves because the ladies have grown 2 inches in the last few days). The HPS is as close as it should be (about 12" from the top of the plants). Temps are great, air is moving. I can actually kinda smell a little scent when I open the box (even though they aren't in flowering.) I am VERY happy with 2 of my 4 plants, I am going to save the genetics of them probably. These 4 plants are growing so fast and so bushy I am going to have to lolli and probably run a Screen of some sort across.

Anywho, I'm happy with them all and everything is going well.

So, I am now near the end of week 7 of flower. They will be changed to water next week for a couple days, and then a few days with florakleen flush agent. The 2 larger plants (which the pictures are of) were being fed 1600ppm nutrients at the end. They were given there last preventative treatment of azamax last week and I haven't had any problems yet. I see this going very well and I'm proud of what I did here. THey have turned out beautiful and are going to be a a great harvest. Haven't taken a piece off yet I want all of it grown/dried/cured/ properly so I get a good first impression.

Here are some pics (I have no idea why they look as weird as they do... something about the iphone with the HPS light made em look like I ran it through a filter of some sort. Anyways here are the 2 largest ladies that are under the 400W HPS. The other 2 are in smaller buckets under 12 23watt CFL's and are doing well but no where near as well as these.

Oh and the light was up in these last pictures because I was changing/cleaning the buckets, the glass sits about 4" from the top of the buds and everything stays nice and cool with the inline exhaust fan and the little desk fans blowing everything around. Excited to cut these guys down, and I love how much I learned this grow... cannot wait to start again and improve on methods. I lolli'd a little a few times and maybe could have a little more, I wanted to do less not more this first round to make sure I find and eliminate problems with the basics before ironing out details with more 'advanced' efficiency-improving measures.

Looks good man. What temperatures are you getting in your reservoirs? I found putting that shiny silver tape on my netpot lids dropped my temps several degrees. Only thought I had.

Are your ladies really ready after only 7 weeks?
