1st Grow, Fogponics + Cinderella 99

Day 1 Flowering:

Yesterday was lights out day, today the HPS bulb went in and I see my girls have been busy in the dark. Both grew about 1", 2 group shots, then 1 of Bec-Bec and 1 of Kitty

Day 25:

PPms 980 pH approx 6. It's great how stable my res has been. I've been waiting to journal a post where I've ph corrected but I haven't had the need to. My ph naturally stays around 6-6.2 so I leave it there to keep the bennies in the Mayan Microzyme happy and they can handle the uptake of minerals not absorbed as well at 6.2 pH. It's hard to qualify effects of this MMZ since it's my first grow, but seeing as nutes seem to stretch far per my inventory and I have big healthy rootballs with no res changes ph corrections air stones or chillers (ambient air temps keep res 68-72F) it appears the bennies in MMZ are working as advertised.

Day 26:

Ppm 1020 pH 6. Water level is getting low, will have to top up Saturday. Big Kat is now 43in, Bec-Bec still 20in. Buds continue to grow and the few trichs thats started showing last week are now turning into a light layer of yummy frost. Apologies in advance for the poor photography. The last pic is of the top of Big Kat that still has the canoeing leaves, other then that the plants look pretty happy.

fucking loving the thread and updates, im in a similar endeavor with six 5gal buckets (a plant each) running bubbleponics ( roots about half submerged in nuts) and then a single rez fog system that will pump into the top half or so of the six buckets with an air pump. just now seeing tap roots hanging out of net pots of my six big bang seeds, 600w light on obviously.. umm having some probs with keeping temps down in the buckets water as air is constantly being bubbled through it however slow. been putting frozen water bottles in twice daily and have fan system pulling cool air in low and sucking hot out the ceiling.. and other ideas?

Whats up guys! I have been messing with fog for awhile. It's important to stay away from the foggers with the multiple led's. It promotes algae growth because of all the light. I grow with fog only! The trick is to supply enough fog to feed the plant properly. When it is small you can get away with just a small amount of fog, but as it grows you need to produce heavy fog for feeding. Soak the roots. You won't manage with a single head. You need one of those triple heads. Use clear nutes, nothing heavy. Also take out the discs and clean them periodically for a longer life. I run a three head fogger until the roots drip. It works fine. There is a guy on ebay that sells them cheap. He says the the same nutrimist uses. + he gave me extra discs and a float so I didn't have to keep f'n with the water level. Peace~ http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220618599134&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT

Thanks for the input on your fog system, I'll keep it in mind if I revisit fog. My next Aero build will revolve around undercurrent and 45psi misters. Here's some more recent pics of the girls, they are filling out and packing on much resin. I quick dried a sample today and can't wait for finished product.

My DryNet from HTG Supply arrived today. Chop is a couple days away. Buds are resin packed, hard and dense. Big Kat has a tangy citrusy smell, I've heard of grapefruit phenos, this could be close to it. Bec-Bec has a sour note to her, I think it's the rotten fruit pheno. Both keepers I think so definitely revegging em. I transplanted my next batch into their hempy buckets, they got 1L each of 15ml/gal Liquid Karma and 15ml/gal Quantum-1. The Quantum-1 is a suppliment of humic acid and soil microbes, my hydro store gave me a free pint to try. Once I vacate my Aero unit I think im going it as a res and the sprayer lines as feed lines to my hempys. I hear you can grow a tree out of a solo cup hempy if you keep it watered, so if I autowater/recirc these 1.5gal hempys under a magnum xxl 1000w (still saving for it) I'll have monsters.

*Just realized I never updated this journal with my next batch. I placed an order with Attitude for the October Funk promo, so I bought 3 TGA Qrazy Train seeds and got 1 each Sour Cream, Blueberry Gum, Kandy Kush, and Pineapple Express. I cracked em in shotglasses and germed them in coco that I soaked with 1gal tap water 2ml Mayan Microzyme and 5ml Liquid Karma, they all sprouted healthy and are working on their 2nd set of leaves. It's day 10 on the seedlings

Well there's always water chillers... what temps are your running? My water stays between 68-72 because thats what my ambient temps run so I don't do anything special. I would say as long as your water is 76ish or lower you can run beneficials in your system to prevent root rot issues. Great White has a good rep, Mayan Microzyme did a good job innoculating my res. I'm hoping Quantum-1 will do the same for my next run.

I tried to take a few more pics today, chop is still on for tomorrow. I moved the seedlings into the main room to get sidelighting off the HPS while it's on. I'll switch to my MH 24/0 tomorrow.

I completed my harvest a little while ago. Big Kat clowned Bec-Bec on weight, BK's buds were also much denser. I still think Bec Bec didn't get a fair shot due to the odd lighting and overcrowding. Big Kat filled 1 level of my drynet in nice bud and another with some good and alot of popcorn. Bec Bec didnt even fill 1 level, but she has that interesting sour note to her, I'll compare and have final weights in a week or so. I also swapped to my MH 24/0 and the seedlings now have the main stage.

PS The scissor hash tasted soooo yummy. 8)

I live for scissor hash, I get it all collected up then for days I try to smoke less pot.. Then it is a wake and bake or something real nice!! Then no matter how much is there, it is gone when I get up.

P.S. Nice drying net I should get one.

Here's some close-ups of one of the near-finished buds off Bec-Bec. These C99 girls are so resin packed it's beautiful! She's smoking pretty nice now too, the fruity lime taste comes right through even with no cure. I can't wait to grow her out again now! :)

About 6oz total and I did reveg but the cuttings I took didn't root so I lost these girls unfortunately. No biggie as I planned on buying more packs in the future.
