lol I use the same green pots as you. the cotyldons shouldn't be turning yellow yet the plant is too young. what type of soil are you using, and what type of light bulb? I'm guessing the light is too hot for the tiny seedling

well in my experience Miracle Gro soil is too strong for small seedlings, it has time-released nitrogen and mj plants don't need any nitrogen until they are 2-3 weeks old. You will have much better results with organic soil, I reccomend FoxFarm OceanForest soil. It's 100% organic and cheap, you can find it at most hydro shops and online.

May I also suggest using CFL bulb(s) instead of a 125watt grow bulb, those grow lights are crap they are mostly for houseplants, not enough lumens for cannabis. remember more light/watts = more lumens = more buds :)

Ok i was looking a lights at home depot for CFL they have some but most of the WATTs are low.. i can order a 400watt but really dont want to do you thinks these would work?

http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053&N=5yc1vZ1xr5&R=100653112
My Lowes has 42 watt cfls in 2700k but not 6500k. The best deals on 42w online is amazon and 42w are perhaps the best for heat and watts per dollar. Make sure you get both 2700k and 6500k.

I use MG potting soil and never had a problem, but i would add some daylight cfls in there. I have 2 plants going right now with 6 cfls and 2 grow lights. there taking off like crazy.

one more thing make sure you use 6500k cfl's if you use 2700k they will stretch and grow to weak this happened to me also cfl's are rated at lower watts but have high lumens if used in large numbers the 6500k or blue tint lights are better for veg growth and 2700k is for flower growth get a book called marijuana garden saver has all the problems you can experience and how to solve them

I use MG soil, and never had problems with babies.

However, I grow them as babies on my second story window sill where they get morning light and early afternoon sun.

Can you put yours outside?

there's this website, it's a specialty shop for light bulbs, it's not the cheapest, but they do have 100 watt flourecents, 300 and 400 incandescent equivalents, in every color imaginable.... www.dallaslightbulb.com ............ it's a good place to browse around and look at different lights, then you can google cheaper alternatives.... peace!

I have used MG potting soil for seedlings and have even sprouted seeds in it with no prior germination, it works great. Also I use a few 2700k CFLs during Veg and i have never noticed stretching or anything like that, just throw a few more CFLs in there 6500k if possible and you will be fine. Best of luck on your buds man :weed:

Ok guys let me say thanks to all for the help and info. :joint: << for yall

Like i said befor i have 5 Fem Snowryder on the way i only plan on doing 2 the first time around and the last 3 when they are harvested. I am doing this for personal use so i ant going to be using that much room also most of the time (mainly when at wook) will the door be close and locked for safty reasons ofcours so tempts can and may or will be hot. so maybe a 150/175 or a 250 watt will be fine?

so the light i have is fine just add cfl? what do you recommend?

YES
and when it comes to cfl's you cannot get to many so the more the better (this ONLY applys to cfl's NOT HID bulbs!)
and the 6500k bulbs are just more blue which is what the plant likes when it is veggin . When you switch over to bloom just add more 2700k bulbs which have more reds for bloom.
and u can mix um up too thats even better.

thanks Wyteboi so ok im kinda confused on cfls sry for so many questions guys but yall know how the first start is. So have more 6500 for the first month and half then cut the down some and add more 2700 for the bloom?

if you start them from seedling and use 2700k they will stretch ill post pics of what stretching looks like use 5500 or 6500k and i would recommend using organic fox farms ocean forest which is what im using some of the other soils could have pests in them and extra chems you dont want or need
