OK ladies and gentlemen this technically my second grow, the first one i started my dog knocked them over and killed them so i decided to start from scratch and there is a picture of them right before they got destroyed.. Also I am new to this forum and growing stuff so bear with me and i will try to be as detailed as you wish. Please no negativity cause i have no time for it. Justt looking for tips and advice. Thanks!Now if you read the title of this discussion you were probably thinking i was going to be making my own bubbleponics system for my plants. If so, you are correct.
These are the parts i will be using:
- 10 gallon tote (I have 2 for easier access)
- 5 liters of hydroton rocks
- 5- 5inch Net Pots (Only three are being used)
- 2- 12 inch air stones w/ air pump
- 160 GPH submersible water pump with hosing.
- 2- 30 watt full spectrum CFL light bulbs
- 680 grams of Miracle-Gro Tomato plant food.
I started of by filling the reservior one gallon at a time and marking it on the outside of tote to save some time when replacing the reserviors. I traced out the net pots on the lid of the tote and cut them out with a razor where the plants will be transplanted for their final home. The air stones were placed in the water to aerate the nutrient solution to prevent the roots from drowning since they will grow down into the reservior. Then the hose from the water pump was weaved into the net pots for a continous flow of water on the roots. The hydroton rocks will be flushed before i place them in my set up.. I chose to do this from scratch because it would save me money and was a better growing process. (bubbleponics)
Seeds: Im just using bagseeds that I aquired from some middies. This is more of a learning experience from me as i am new to this.
Grow Room: Just using a closet. Air flow probably isnt the greatest since i didnt purchase a fan yet (im broke.)
