i guess stranger things can happen.. that is odd tho that the pollen sacs were like that in just that spot.. when you posted that pic at first i thought they were popping up everywhere.. but if its an isolated area, and you keep pulling them off you will be fine... keep an eye out everywhere else tho.. and even in the buds once they start forming.. you could get a couple stray banana sacs popping from the buds or a couple other clusters show up somewhere else later...

Question for ya sampson. Those three leaves that i pulled to the side and tied off to make room for the new growths (the same ones that are all crispy and such).... would it be benificial to just snip em off? or would that cause more damage than good?. i just figure they (or at least the bottom two) arent getting any light cuz they are stacked on top of eachother. plus all the extra string really makes a mess of everything, and they are practically dead anyways =/

what if they are like 1/4 to half way dead? lol, sorry i really want to cut em off but i dont want to be taking away from photosynthesis sites if you think they are still benifiting the plant ya know?

also im gonna buy some stuff to lower my soil pH. recommend anything?

it really wont hurt.. its consistant pruning or removing good viable life that is bad.. a couple almost dead leaves are fine...

dont have any personal recommendations for what to use to lower your ph... you can use PH down, such as you would for a hydro system.. there are also soil acidifiers you can buy... heres a link to one i found http://www.planetnatural.com/site/chelated-iron.html but really i dont have a solid answer for you..

is it bad that a few hair from random growths are orange and kind of curled, almost as if theey are burnt? are they burnt or is this the ambering im supposed to expect?

pistils will die throughout the entire flowering process.. they will also be replenished... the orange/ambering of the pistils just means they are dead.. it can happen just from brushing up against them.. or if you spray them with something it can happen too.. no cause for concern

I realized i havent uploaded pictures in a while. Im most happy with the main stem is starting to grow side growth nugs since i LSTed more the other day.

Question: How much more will the buds grow now that im reaching the half way point of flowering. What i mean is, has the majority of the growth in the first few weeks or last, etc.

hell ya bro!! she is looking damn fine!! coming along very nicely... im glad you posted some pics.. i was wondering how things were going.. you can count how many buds you will have.. i think i counted 9 total.. and they pretty much will end up the length of the branch its on... so that should give you an idea of how long they will be.. not long now before your smoking on some kind buds.. bongsmilie

Its been 4 and a half weeks of flowering. Nugs are looking pretty, ill update pics later but i have a couple quesitons.

When should i stop giving her nutes and start watering with clean water each time.

And also many leaves are turning yellow and curling (just the middle leaf segment). Is this phosphorus def?

cant wait to see the pics bro.. see how they are coming along... as for you questions..

you wont stop feeding her nutes until about a week before harvest... give her 7 to 10 days of no nutes prior to harvest.. this should be 1 good flush and 1 watering.. and then it should be harvest time...

and the yellowing is most likely attributed to the lack of nitrogen your plant is getting.. most flowering nutes dont have any nitrogen in them.. and if they do contain any, its very little... its very common during flowering for this to happen.. when it happens tho is up to the plant.. itll be easier to tell with the pics up tho..

Nugs are starting to expand and stems are starting to get hairier especially in the 4 main ones around the out side. The main stem is crazy filled up and everything smells great. also the leaves around the colas are getting really really sparkly, i know u cant tell with my crappy camera but its pretty trust me :D

Theres only one picture of the yellowing i was talking about. Notice its only on the middle section, not something that you would think youd see with nitrogen damage but obviously i dont know what im talking about most the time.

Also theres a couple pics of little brown and yellow spots around random leaves. Im assuming this is from chlorine? i always leave my water out for 24 hour before i water it to avoid this but its still happening. How much longer do you think i should wait until harvest/ flushing

also how much more will the nugs be growing in these last 3 weeks?

very nice looking bro.. shes really coming along nicely.. im very happy for ya!! you will see the buds double in size probably over the next 4 weeks.. i'd say you probably have 4 to 5 weeks left.. you will see the most amount of growth in the last 3 weeks or so..

as far as flushing goes you only need to do that over the last week before harvest... so when your about 7 to 10 days from harvest you'll want to run 2x the amount of water as the volume of the pot through the soil, and then feed one more time with just plain water over that time period... if you time you waterings out so that they day you harvest is a day you would normally water on, or wait until the soil is dry, it will speed the drying process up a little since the plant will have less excess water in it...

as far as your leaves i wouldnt worry about it... the spots look a little like chlorine problems.. but its not bad enough to worry about it.. and you'll probably start seeing random yellowing start as the nitrogen starts running low/out...

:o
iv read this hole grow log and i was so exited to see the final product and theres noo picss :(
your still a stranger.. gotta raise your level to look at pics..

im watering her with 500ml of water every 3 days. Ive been using 1/3 - 1/2 strength nutes. Should i be nuting each time or every other time at this rate?

there doesnt seem to be any signs of nute burn of any kind

its hard to say.. but as long as your plants are happy then there is nothing to question.. try adding a little more when you feed and see how your plants react... if they seem like they liked it continue.. if not back off a little.. it really just depends on your plants bro..

everything is looking pretty good. only concerns are a bunch of orange burnt looking dead hairs. is this natural or is the plant overheating? sampson i know you said its ok that a few are dying but it seems like 1/3 of the hairs are dead now. will this affect the potency?

Everything smells super sweet. I clipped a bunch of fan leaves in the past week, making more growspots more visible to the light, i hope this doesnt stunt growth or anything like that.

I was thinking my next time watering to use nutes for the last time then harvest in 2 weeks. due to time restraints i dont think i can wait for a full 8 weeks flowering. wat say yall?

dont sweat the pistils bro.. seriously.. its not a big deal..

dont clip to much away from it.. it can slow down flowering by stressing the plant... if you need to make light room just try to move and re tie branches

if you have to harvest early then thats up to you.. i wouldnt stop feeding her nutes tho... just flush her really well3 days before you actually harvest.. but keep nuting her all the way until then..

she's lookin really nice tho.. filled out well :)

Sry havent updated pics in a while, heres the update.

I watered her with fresh water last night. no more nutes, im flushing this week (do i have to have a specific "flush" where i water until theres run off or will watering it a couple more time with the normal amount just without nutes be fine?)
This weekend i plan on harvesting cuz of time restraints. i have to have it dried by the weekend after next so it has to be done soon.

My friend lemme use his magnifier-- 90% of the tricones are milky and about 5-10% are amber so hopefully by this weekend it should be pretty close to the aimed for 25% amber.

Any thoughts, advice?
