1st grow

hey bro.. looking good!! its been fun watching your girl grow from start to finish!! she's turned out nice.. and i bet she smokes good... and it sounds like you are harvesting at about the perfect time for a nice strong head high...

your right on with the flush.. you can water a couple times with plain water and that'll take care of it... easiest way to do is is to run 2x the amount of water as size of the pot, so 6 gallons through a 3 gallon pot, ect. through it and then water one more time with plain water... thats usually plenty enough to flush.. but like i said what you are doing is fine...

one other tip.. if you can find unsulfured molasses at your grociery store you can pick some of that up and add it with that water... it wont do anything to affect that plant negetively... what it will do is help to plump the buds up a little more... and give her a little something to eat during the flush...

either tonight or tomorrow im gonna be watering her for the last time. The molasses thing you were telling me, will it benificial if its just during this last watering or should the last watering be just pure water? also how much do i add

if you only have one more watering it wont be worth it.. in order for it to really be affective it needs to be used throughout flowering... but for future reference use 1 to 2 tsp. per gallon of water... up to a tablespoon during heavy flowering...

im thinking about harvesting tomorrow, i havent watered her in 2 days. ive washed her with fresh water twice in the past week

that should be plenty fine.. she'll be ready for you when your ready for her

thats pretty good, but oncce they get a bit taller becareful of the light, the light may cause to much heat and crisp your leaves. another thing, once your your plant does get a bit taller i would keep the light on top but add 2 minor lights on the side's so all of the plant is getting light not just the 2 or 4 leaves at the top. that will increase your yeild plenty if it comes out a female

well i hope it helps! i harvested yesterday succefully. We didnt bother weighing it out, ima wait until its dry to do that but it looks like 14-28g depending on how dense it turns out. Ill add pictures when its all finished here in a few days.

question for ya, the yield from this plant is that a normal amount for this type of grow cos it seems low to me if the grow had gone on longer do you think the yield would be higher?
could i expect more yield with same setup but with a 250 watt hps bulb?

ya for sure. this was a very hurried operation, i only vegetated for a few weeks. theoritically you could let her get big for months even years before flowering. for how quick i did it im very very happy with my results. And yes, with a hps you should be getting a better yield than with CFLS, even though i did have a lot of them.

Well its done drying. it came out to be 12g, but hey thats 12 more that i didnt have before. The hairs turned real dark orange and the leaves are real dark as well, kinda purple in places. I guess its the Purp from the Purp/Juicy Fruit mix.

It stopped smelling like bud after the first day of drying and started smelling like grass. My friend told me thats normal for the first couple weeks cuz its getting rid of the chlorphyll, but when i rip a little piece open it smells kinda sweet but mainly real dark. what can i do to help the smell go away? and will locking the nugs in a tight vac only make the smell more perminent? how ofter should i burp and such?

I cut em off and have em in a tight vac for curing. I smoked a little little bit of it the other day and it was a great body high. Mainly in the legs, it was a great relaxing session

after it cures for a week or so it will smell a lot better... make sure its in an air tight container... and burp 3 or 4 times a day...

ive been opening the tight vac 3 times a day and turning everything. the smell is slowly starting to go away and replaceed with a very sweet smell. i smoked some the other day as a test and it was a great great body high. thanks to sampson for all your help with everything. ill post again in a month or so when its done curing and i start actually smoking it.

So the smell of chrophyll was almost gone, replaced by a sweet great odor.... however, last night i burped it but forgot to close it back up before i went to bed! i woke up today and all smell is completely gone!

did i ruin my bud? will keeping it in the tight vac eventually bring back the great smell and potency?

the smell and potentcy have nothing to do with eachother.. even if the smell is gone the strength will not decrease..

just return to your normal curing.. the smell should return.. if it doesnt return, as soon as you break open a bud, it will return...
