Hi, I just wanna thank all of you dudes for helpin me with my 1st indoor grow.
I bought some good outdoor strains (Purple White Widow, Durban Poison, and Holland's Hope) they came with 5 free Thai stick seeds. I plan to veggin' em for a couple months until they are ready for mother nature. I Built a 4 x 4 grow box thats split down the middle.
Materials used ...

*400 watt Digital air cooled MH + HPS
* Pro mix bx
* DNF gro and bloom nutes
* 12" and an 8" fan
* 4" cpu fan for exhaust
* Mylar

On the veg side im going to be usin...

*8 43w daylight cfls

Im having a heat issue. With the door off its about 81 with 32% humidity. WIth the door on its over 90. How can I cool this box down with the door on?
Its currently situated in a crawl space.

,Thanks

Is there any way you can vent air in from outside? If so, bring in air from outside and blow it out, outside your box ... that's all I can think of at the moment. By the way, if you can't get the heat down I'd be turning off one of those lights or something until you do ... lots of light doesn't help dead plants any.

Its in a crawl space, so getting air from outside would be really hard.
As for the light, its on a 18hr cycle.
The other room, where the clones are are on 24.

I saw MH + HPS and was thinking you had 2 HID lights ... that's why I said to turn one off until you get the ventilation fixed. Is that temp with the door on just with CFLs? Can you vent in from outside the grow box at least? Or maybe make the box so that it has a 'slit' along the bottoms and/or top to let air in? A bigger fan maybe? If the temp outside the grow box is okay and you can vent in from there and out the other side - something like that - then it would be okay, right? Since the temp is okay with the door off ... something along these lines - just make sure you do something, too hot is a disaster.

Just bought an intake fan from Home depot. Gonna hook it up and close the door and hopefully it keeps cool.
