damm dude! spent some $$$ on the equip. After enough people see this there will be no clfs on the shelfs and folks still havin icandescents all over the house!

Looking good so far. your filling out a bit more, nice. Led's are definably good for something.... I think it is multiplying the size on a few of the developing cola sites... especially if you shine it in one spot for a bit.... :-P

perfect for dorks, with money, and a dream that the Aerogarden/L.e.d. Will actually yield more then an half oz....? should be investing in bigger rezevoir and an HPS light.... im not hating to bad i hope. You gotta start somewhere... but wouldn't you like to actually have a few oz's for your efforts.... it aint easy being cheesy!!!!:bigjoint:
 
First off, you can yield as much bud as you can fit root mass. You can yield 2 ounces off one plant in an AG if you veg it long enough and have enough light.

Just because you have a 10 gallon res doesn't mean your plants are going to be massive. Thats just more of a pain in the ass to adjust ph and add nutrients to the water because everything is on a bigger scale. Not to mention how much of a bitch it is to move it around.

The res can hold 1 gallon of water (its about 2 gallons but thats past the fill to here marker and the opening in the res) thats more than enough room plus you use less nutrients, more water = more nutes = same concentration. So you save money this way too.

AG is fine with 1 or 2 plants, plus he already has a drip feed system set up, no need to ditch it for something thats exactly the same.

Slickrick has cfls along with the UFO, I think hes got a great setup, the only thing I would suggest would be organizing the grow space a little bit and get some more 'finite' lighting fixtures, while the dangle with duck tape works, its not really the best solution.

Just because you returned your AG doesn't mean you have to hate on people that are still using theirs, theres nothing wrong with growing in an AG...
 
Thanks, but I don't think I have the perfect setup, but adequate for my personal pursuit, I'm just curious enough to try things and I don't have many bills so I can blow money on shit I'm interested in. Yes, I know my lights are shitty looking but, if you ignore the duck tape then you see that they are arranged so as to give the plant as much light as possible. The gremlin in the machine was that I didn't know I had an sativa and I had to move shit as the plant needed and it got needy faster than I could buy anything better. Since I have no clue what seeds I have I may have to do the same thing again. At this point "pretty" doesn't matter, I just want to learn what I can. I'm not going to yield a lot, but I have never grown a mother fuckin thing ever, so whatever happens is cool for me. If I'm doing this a year from now I bet I just may have a better system. Time and persistence is all you need, one of which I may or may not have plenty of, the latter I have enough to burn. bongsmilie

lookin good man, cant wait for the next grow, now that you got all the proper lights and with the LED should get some better results but i would be happy with anything like you said haha, as long as im growing im happy. have you checc's the trichs at all?

Hey SICC, Funny you mention the trichs, I got one of those 420microscopes yesterday and checked this morning. First of all, those microscopes are hard as hell to keep still and see anything clearly...so I'm still trying to check'em. I don't think it's critical at this point, maybe next week it may be more important. What do you think? Maybe I should chop one off to look at it more closely. I've got some smoke, so I'm not going to lose too much.

Hey, I don't know much about the trichs but someone on another site claims this works great.

Time to go do more research.

Yea man from what i have heard there hard to keep still, but its easier if you place the cutting on a piece of paper and just focus like that, i would wait another week then checc, should be fine :leaf:
 
lol sky divers... I bet alot of people don't even notice those.

Buds are looking good, I wouldnt worry about trichs at this point, doesn't look ready anyways.
