1st "real" grow.. Advise from experienced ppl appreciated

If it's a Sativa like we all think it is, then yes it will continue growing. You should start planning out what you are going to do about it. You can try some Low Stress Techniques(LST) like tying down. I have done it with success, but you have to be careful because you can break the stem. I broke one or two and they recovered but it stunted them a little.

I also see my boy northweststunner on YouTube and he almost always grows big bud-white widow crosses.. & I like that because my white widow plant is on the smaller side,so I'm guessing that that cross is to get the yield of the big bud with the potency of the white widow.

I think that if you want to get really good you should try to stick with 1 or 2 strains so you can dial them in. When you have those down to a science, then add more strains. Otherwise I think you will be prone to burning and deficiencies due to the different needs of different strains. My two cents ...

Yea I def agree, I should grow 1 strain at a time right now to really get it "down pact" but it's hard to just stick with what I have.. Really I haven't even smoked it yet so idk.. Maybe I'll love it & want to grow only green love potion & white widow. But I'm thinking I'll prob want to try some of these strains that I hear so much about & my fav rappers rap about lol.. Idk if I do go with one if these next .. Like maybe og kush, I'll just grow like 4 of those so I can get tuned in with that strain.. But idk.. Anybody got suggestions on potent strains?? Preferable a smaller plant in height but I want a strong smoke. (no lightweight sh*t lol)

i am at a loss. i have no idea what to do about my next grow. im chopping as we speak and i have no idea what im gonna do. i was thinking about setting up two tents with vertical scroggs going in them. one tent vegging out three walls of screen with a 400mh and the other flowering the 3 screens with the 1000hps. but not sure yet how im going to work this. ive got a bunch of ideas but i havent been able to piece them together yet. its driving me crazy. lol. i originally was planning on a 4x8 for flower with a few 1000s in it and a 4x4 for veg but i cant see myself using another 1000s worth of power for only a 4x4 space gain.

i think i just figured out what im gonna do. im going to veg out a big 46"x46" screen in the tent with the 400mh and then im gonna put the big ass hood in it for the flower with the 1000. that is if the big ass hood will fit in it.

Sounds good.. I wish I had as many options as u.. How many lights/ballasts do u have?? I would love to get a 600 or even 1000 watt light because I look on craigs list and the prices aren't that much more than I paid for my 400 watt.. But I just can't see me using that much electricity & I think if I had a light that could was capable of supporting so many plants, it would encourage me to do too much.. Sometimes I have to remind myself to keep it small. I don't want to end up on the news as some sort of big drug raid.. I'm not trying to take over the world, I'm just trying to support my habit.. And maybe increase it a lil lol... But seriously it's hard to balance between maintaining a small grow & a big one.. Because with all these promos & freebies it's easy to get crazy.

Yeah dude, keep it on the smaller side until you are legit. You don't want to get pinched, it sucks asshole. Be patient and good things will come, or just get up your motivation and pick your shit up and move.

yeah i have a few extra recources. lol. most of my buddies r using them at the moment tho. ive got like 4 lights i think. a 150 hps. its nice for males and side lighting for big plants. have 2 1000watt magnetic ballasts with hoods but i gave one of the hoods to my buddy cus he was running just open bulb in his tent and i wasnt trying to burn my fuckin forehead on bare bulb every time i looked in the tent. lmao. a 1000 digital with xxxl hood, a 400 digital with a nice aircooled hood. im gonna get another xxxl hood for my 4x4 if i can get the one i have to fit in it. ive got a few inline fans 2 6" and an 8" loads of bulbs laying around. lmao. old and i just cant get myself to throw them away. such a waste with such expensive bulbs to just toss em. plus having a few extra bulbs laying around is really nice in a tight pinch. couple of tents. a 6x4 solid sealed grow shed that i build last summer. i just like trying new grow options out. lmao.

ive had a few lightsd ive just outright sold too. buddies needing a reliable setup for a cheap price. i had it laying around and he needed it. billcollector99 has my old 600. just a homie hookup i guess.

its just a bunch of grow stuff ive accumulated over the time ive been growing. having my needs change and having to adapt. i started out with a small 150 in my closet then slowly worked my way up to a 1000 in bigger spaces. i wanted a small personal grow in the beginning but its hard to stay small. lol. i would have saved a lot of money if i had just done it big and right the first time. i just never had riu till recently. so i guess u can say im kinda self tought? lol.minus the help of some iof the local buds every now and then.

not bored just trying out different grow styles. havent tried a scrog yet. i guess im just trying to maximize my space and yield. im thinking a couple of 46"x46" scrogs with a 400mh for veg and a 1000hps in xxxl hoods on them for flower would do nicely. good yield in a smaller area. if that works id get like 3 or 4 4x4s going at once if the profits outweigh the costs.

Thanks bro.. & I kno it is a blessing.. Just thought I would have my shit together by the time I had kids (financially) but I guess if this isn't inspiration to get my shit together. Idk what is.. I'm still a young dude, & this will b my 1st kid.. So it's more nerves than anything.. But hopefully everything works itself out.. & thanks again 4 the support, growing & everything else.

i say congrats and its not just black guys that run out. or just guys. women do it too. I am extremely excited for you. and yes this will do one of two things make you or break you down. cuz its gonna break you (your pockets) but i will tell you this, if you are as concerned and caring for your children the way that you are for your ladies then you will be an excellent father. unfortunately and fortunately things dont happen on our planned times cuz GOD has a plan for us all and it is his way his timing. and he chose now for you. its cool that you share your life outside of plants here. helps to get to know a person. +rep on Daddy Day Care

Yea.. That would be a lot better.. I never said anything because I see a lot of people post pics as thumbnails but I figured it was probably me who couldn't enlarge the pic because I'm using my phone.. So that's another reason y I have not been so active on ur posts.. I can't really see the pics. I'm kinda like the kid in elementary school that doesn't participate because he just can't see the blackboard & hasn't been prescribed glasses yet.. (I think that only made sence to my high ass lol) but yea.. Post ur pics differently.. (atleast I would appreciate it) & THANX ALOT on the support aswell, this is the last thing I'd expect to talk about here.. But once again potheads prove to be the most complex & well rounded group of people, I swear the stereotypes of weed smokers are way off... Thanks S.T... Well if god chose this time for me, I guess that's also the reason he chose for me to start growing my own.. He must know with a kid there's no way I can afford to smoke the way i do.. And I will def need to up my dosage so I can deal with the crying & the bitchin I'm gonna hear from my girl
