1st TIME GROW USUING CFL BULBs

Hello all out there. I'm new to growing and I'm on my first grow. My plant is a month and a day today. I was just wanted some opinions on my set up and if I should change anything. I have 6 23 watt day light cfls 5k lums each and 2 23watt cool 27k lums on one kush plant. My soil is a mixture of mirical grow and eco earth cocanut fiber for reptile. Its very good for growing plants in a terrerium so I figured it would help. I have it in a close to 5 gal garbage can and yes I habe drainage holes at the bottom I water it abou t every 4 days. No nuts yet because I don't habe the money but soon I will be gettin fox farm nuts. I habe the lights on 24 hours. I just changed my set up today in to a big cardboaed box with out tinfoil before i had tin foil and no lights on the sodes i only had 5 on top. Now as u can see i removed all tin foil except for hood and i now have 8 lights.i added one more one dayligh 5k to the top and 1 on each side so the bottom and side get good light to. I have a fan blowing to keep heat to a minimum. I just pruned plant last nite because I thought the big leaves were blockim the bottom a lot. Let me know if I prumes to much or if I should do more. Any help would be great thanks.

that plant is going to get massive in that trashcan lol. you should take your clones and flip it to flower if you want to keep it in that box.


or actually this plant looks like it would be great to scrog with. maybe let it veg for another week and put a screen in.

Flip it to flower already? I wanted to veg for at least another month maybe 2. And what is scrog?

Have you considered topping your plant ? There's a sticky here by Uncle Ben . I've tried his method which involves cutting the top off of your plant above the second true node (cotyledons don't count as true leaves ) and loved the results. Makes LST-ing easy too . I got 4 main colas by doing that
SCROG = Screen of green .

So I should top it in about a week ? Wont plant stop growing tall and only bush out?

what will the plant do depends on a strain and the lights ( distance from the plant , spectrum , etc ..) the plant in the pic above is Critical Kali Mist which is 80% sativa and she stretched a lot

Lol thanks. I figured the cfls don't get to hot and I got a fan goin all the tim e. QUESTION? Should I add more lights? Idk my buddy suggested it to me but idk I think its good. Tell me what u guys think thanks

If you can add more with out heat stressing your plant go for it....plants like a lot of light....you really cant over do it with cfls, imo.

Keep the cfls within an inch or two of the plant, and if you can get some light on the sides too.

I added reptile reflextors to lights on the sides to focus light more

I found a few small leaves with yellowish spot on them is this normal?

i think another two months of veg would be awesome for that thing but you better throw out the cardboard box and commit to having a weed tree in the corner of your living room or whatever. dont top now that should be done when the plant is small so the split happens early and low. looks like you only have about a foot until the lights. scrog is just using a screen to catch the growth before it gets to the lights. when heads get through you tuck them back under. this guy sunnyjim does a scrog in a box way smaller than that and gets ounces off of one plant. check him out.

is it dry? give it some water and nutes.

No its nit dry but there r little yellow spots poppin up in leaves but I haven't given it any nute yet. I only have tomato nuts. I'm tryin to find a store that sells fix farm nuts or something. But bottom leaves look a little dry n wrinkled
