Hey all. Gonna try to grow an auto cheese a buddy gave me. Never grown autos before and some stuff I'm reading is worrying me. Hope to get some auto vets to help me.
Gonna use promix(moisture) with some of my "super soil" and organic nutes(Teas). SF1000 and ~3 gallon pot.

More to come...

Those mars and SF "1000" lights are really good for 150w lights. I've seen someone pull 135g worth of nug and 30g worth of popcorn under a single TS1000 in 80 day with a big Bud Auto.

I'm growing my first auto right now as well, a fat monkey auto from SAG. You should get better results as I'm using one of the EU mars TS600 lights, which is in fact 85w, not 100w, and it's looking really good.

Try not to fall for all the fear mongering that you have to baby autos, just use common sense and gauge the plant.. for example people say you can't top, crop or stress them, but I lived with a dude that supercropped all his autos, topped them twice in the first three weeks on every grow for years, and regularly pulled 150g a plant under a 200w led.

I have topped my fat monkey twice in a week, and it's doubled in size in a week. I've purposely done everything wrong, but it's still right. HST, Fimmed once, Topped once more, no ph monitoring, no nutes, tap water and bad temps/humidity and a terrible light in the Grand scheme of things.

There is 8 days between these two pics. Just have fun while your at it.

Didn't think autos gave that much, wow.

Definitely didn't know they could be treated like that and still finish with good weight. ALL good to know. Thx

Autos can stress pretty easily. Especially in seedling stage. A 3 gallon pot is a good size for an auto. If you grow it correctly you won't need to top it. Mephisto's grow guide is worth downloading. It's a guaranteed method for growing autos.

Good luck.

Here's a haul from a mystery seed auto i got as freebies with an order, grown outdoors over summer. I don't have any photos of the plant anymore as it was two months ago and it's been curing and now in the freezer...there is a qp of solid, and around 30g of popcorn with some leaf.

Still needs to be manicured lol. I had so much weed, and this was the worst at the time so it's just been pushed aside...the photos were pulling 300-400g from each plant.

It wasn't managed, was in old soil, only had tap water and rain, and was punished heavily when it come to topping and animal damage. Still yielded though.

It is a gamble with autos. Some just dont grow from day one, some are resilient. As long as you read your plant you will be fine. .IMG20210322123309.jpgIMG20210322123258.jpgIMG20210322123403.jpg

That's right. If you start LST early to break dominance, you should be good without topping. I just get bored, and the autos I have are never relied on too heavily.

This is an Al[en Vs Triangle at 10 weeks. It had 10 colas and none were dominant. I didn't top or stress train. Instead, I kept a CFL about 5" away during seedling stage to stop her from being leggy. Playing with the light and dimmer allows you to train an auto without touching it. Like topping and training though...you have to know the genetics you are dealing with ahead of time. Some thrive with manipulation and some will stunt.

With enough light and correct enough environment you can def grow a decent sized auto.

This is my first go with an auto. I swapped the hps in to soon on the right side plant and it stretched a lot. They were about a week apart in maturity.

All i can say dont stress that bish cause your yield will suffer if 2 much stress is done.
Good luck and happy growing. O and a big yield 2 .

I don't plan on topping this 1st go round with auto. Always do LST in some form. When I received seedling it was already in the groove. Lol

I just pulled 188g out of one auto. I didn't even maximize it's growing space and give it the space it wanted. I bet I could pull a pound out of one of that strain.

I treat my autos the same as photos. Transplanting, LST, topping, it's all good as long as you have a healthy plant.

Day 31 and no preflowers yet. Not sure I'll be able to lst or not. Alot of small growth underneath, kinda like working with mini plant lol

Yeah, getn feeding straightened out I hope. Not used to using LEDs and didn't raise it enough.
Can't decide bout bending her. Think I'm gona take off 2 tiny branches on bottom and see where she takes me. I also have some side lighting. Thx for lookin

Your plant is overwatered. That's what I see anyways.
