im trying to grow just 1 plant indoors but i have a question..?

could i produce adequate bud on a plant in a 2-3 month time frame
only using a few CFL lights?

whats my best choice of lighting if im very limited on time and space?

your best bet would be to get a 400 watt hps light with reflector. one mont veg then two 6-8 weeks of flowering. at the end you should have a decent sized harvest if your growing more than one female. if your going to properly cure the bud then youll need about three more weeks. making the whole process about 4 months.

400W would be OVERKILL. its just one plant. if your on a budget theres alot of success stories with 150W hps lights. i use a 250W light. the big benefit with these lower wattage lights is they put off alot less heat (obviously) and they can fit into smaller places.

HPS light... so i can either buy one or just try with the cfls that i have...

but 1 plant will grow fine under 1 HPS?..

where can i get a cheap ballast?

cfls only man, super easy, no big electric bill
but the thing is, i tried growing under CFLs my first time around and my plant wasnt even close to finished even after 3 months time...

i have a 150w hps that im going to try next.. home depot sounds good

thanks big and squigs

kingb- how many CFLs should i be using if im trying to flower?
and how many hours a day is suitable for CFL flowering

How about t-5's? They are a little more expensive, but you can mix up red/blue and keep them really close to the plant. You would see a better yield than the cfls, and probably than the 150w, if you set them up properly. I'd put a 2' - 4 bulb on top and 4 strips standing vertically on the corners. Total watts = 192, but at an awesome spectrum. If you can start from clone in a good hydro system(pref aeroponic), with a 4 week veg and 8 week flower, you'd have a nice bush. With the right strain, probably 1/4 - 3/4lb. Good Luck
