At least 24 plants for sure - probably a few more than that depending on how things go. I'm using self made bubbler hydro units; they were great. Each measures roughly 1.16'x1.67' and I'll be able to fit 12 of them into my 4.67'x4.67'x6.5' tent. There are 8 holes on each unit with a 3" net pot in each. I'm aiming for 2 per unit and maybe 3 per unit in the center and 4 corners, but we'll see. Last grow was in a closet with the same strain in the same units and 2 per unit really was the right combination. I was able to get about 3-4 oz/plant with the strain I'm using.
I've be able to control the temps without any problem so far with my 400W inside the tent with my mothers inside. I'm up for suggestions but I've heard that the 600W HPS tends to cover 3'x3' great, 4'x4' max. I've done some testing with my 400W inside the tent now and have noticed with the 3 bubbler units I'm using, that the closer I get the light to the plants, the more the light concentrates to the center and misses the outside plants. This is my concern with not using an Umbrella 4'x4' reflector. I understand that the cooltubes allow you to get the lights closer to the plants, but keep in mind this is not an option for me when trying to cover 4.67'x4.67'. As long as I can keep temps in check, I'd prefer to have the 4'x4' Umbrella reflector for a mere $50 more (when you purchase the 600W HPS from HTGSupply).
Any thoughts? I
GREATLY appreciate everyones continued feedback; this is really helping me make decisions!
