2 more weeks?

Hi everyone, I feel that I’m getting close to my first harvest. What do y’all think? 2 more weeks? Also, does it look like it’s foxtailing, or is that just the calyx swelling?FBB49820-15E5-4FC6-A477-BF461B17145B.jpeg95120495-B7EA-4DA5-ABFA-23765F1FFEC6.jpeg264D3FE3-FBEE-40CC-8103-7043476C423B.jpeg95368988-8668-47F4-9A82-1DE283929B42.jpeg

probably a lot longer than 2 weeks left, maybe double that or more. There's lots of white hairs still. From what I've read on here and online they all need to brown off and recede into the buds. I've only done a couple of grows though so hopefully someone else will chime in and give you a rough estimate of timescale left.
Edit:• Nice looking plant.

check the trich's , are they in your preferred window for harvest? we cant tell you as its up to you :) ,

Red hairs dont mean shit as far as plant done-ness is concerned, I just (two days ago) harvested a purple queen from royal queen seeds, it was stick a fork in it done via the trichs and 90% of the hairs were still white, the other PQ from the other seed I popped had 95% red hairs and the trichs were the same ratio i like to harvest during ..... get a scope and read the plants mate :) EDIT : they look good and are at the point I'd start checking

I would say you have several weeks before even looking at trichs. You really should try for yourself and see though, there is so much mis-information out there. Take a bud when you think they are ready, one a week later, another after a time, etc. Let them dry and cure then try for yourself. It’s the only way you’ll know for sure what you like. Most here would agree don’t even bother looking at trichs until the hairs turn color and the buds start to swell.

Don’t count weeks , days or what breeder BS you have read about plant.

Plant is in charge - it will finish however long it takes.
Sure their some “ indicators “ that show progression in final maturity - pistil color off / recede / triches at calyx / hardening off / etc.

Triches are somewhat misleading since triches on different parts of plant mature at different rates. Plant also will not automatically “ die “ because it is mature at harvest - its like picking fruit just allow flowers to bulk , harden off / slow . Sometimes the plant quits drinking too. Study what harvest ready buds look like , you will soon give up that old method of trying to get a balance of amber / cloudy bullshit.

It is too easy to pull a plant Too Early and very hard to pull a plant “ too late “. Remember that triches will also begin to degrade a bit as it dries anyways.

Thanks everyone for the expertise! I’m trusting y’all because I know you speak from experience. I’ll post photos before I do anything drastic. I have a couple clones that are going to be absolute monsters by the time Mama is done!

Buy a 30X jewelers loupe for just afew bucks or something... but some strains will never amber even if you flower it for 20 weeks.

But inspecting the Trichome's does help you harvest at the right time when the plant is ripening and it ain't no bullshit method, it will let you know when it's done to ur liking , some like a more racey high clear/ cloudy trich's or a more couch locking i got the munchies type of high which is what i chase by letting that THC break down to as much amber as I'm looking for.

Just a thought :)
