I tuned into this thread because I read a little into the Auto-strains but not enough to completely satisfy my knowledge. My question is it best to buy multiple strain seeds with autos in order to find that range? Guys posted above a Shawty but I hope to just maximize a grow by growing outside in the summer so I feel more inclined to make sure my plants would follow through. No

Plan to try for cloning but not an auto flowering strain, I know that doesn't work. Off the point though, are there any great strains that yield a lot as autoflowering that you folks know?

Kinda funny, I just started a freebie Mazar x Northern Lights Auto ( Mazar is Afgani x Skunk). I like the cross with NL for an Auto, hoping it makes it a little more hardy and forgiving? Mine's in a 5gal under a 600w MH for 20/4 atm, just getting indirect light atm as it's still a seedling...

I bought multiple strains in order to find the strain that best suited my personal needs in yield and potency. That being said The 2 best strains for my needs so far have been Auto Ultimate and Fantasmo Express. Since I liked them both the next logical step for me was to reverse one (Fantasmo Express) and pollinate the other, which I have done and am waiting for the seeds to mature. Since the pollen was from a reversed female the seeds will be female seeds and since they were both autos the resulting cross will be an auto.
Generally the auto seeds sold on most seed websites are feminized unless otherwise stated.There are available regular auto seeds that have to be sexed but that should be stated in the descriptions. There are a few growers which prefer regular seeds in order to utilize the old standard method of reproduction using a male for pollen, however I prefer using Colloidal Silver to reverse a female and use the resulting pollen from the male flowers to produce feminized seed.I am getting some autos for the first time
2 newbie questions...I tried to get answers online here and a few other places before posting here to ask. No luck.

-Do you have to sex autos, or are they all feminized? I have previously used feminized seeds, never thought about autos before.
-Since the auto plants will be smaller, can I get away with 3 gallon pots to save space in my 2x4x7' cabinet, or would I be better served to stay with 5 gals? I am getting 8 seeds...not sure if I should try to fit all 8 in there, or do 2 grows with 4 plants each time.
If I do need to sex them, and screw up sexing them (assuming I have to) will the resulting seeds be autos as well?

3 gallon pots should be enough with the right soil.
No sexing is needed since as I stated earlier most auto seed sold is feminized unless stated otherwise..
In addition I will add, soil mix is critical as is, in my experience, good drainage, especially if you are growing outdoors. I always put a layer of pea gravel in the bottom of a container (I use standard nursery pots and recycled kitty litter containers washed out well) to improve drainage, however I understand the air pots have inherently good drainage

Yeah took a look at that and spoke too soon but those helped a lot. My big goal now is to get online and find a reputable site to get good strains from and actually reach me. There's just a lot of warnings out there so not sure how to approach it, on the flip side I'm just excited to do it either way.

(turns out that you have to be careful who you listen to on this subject, even on these boards. There are posters that start accounts just to puff up a particular company. I trust folks like Billy420 etc, but one needs to be careful of others that have only one or two posts to their credit)
Anyhow, this is what I wrote:
Well, I am not exactly an old timer here...but I have been posting on diff topics for 6+ months, the RIU site helped me get going, and has been a fount of useful info etc
AND I just made my 2nd purchase from OSS. I had a good experience with them previously. Here's how it went.
1st time I ordered 5x Blue OG feminized. Heavy indica dominant strain, all looked good, what I wanted etc. I honestly can't remember the price, but it was pretty reasonable compared to other sites. No huge savings, but on the lower end...I'm guessing about 5-6 per seed. When I went to pay, they threw in 2 Afghan Kush (which are also heavy indicas). It was just there at checkout, no promo codes or other hoops to jump through.
All arrived, all sprouted, all grew good. I just tried the buds from the OG last night for the first time (couldn't wait the whole 6 weeks for them to cure) and it was just the effect I was looking for. Look, I'm a noob, and I couldn't tell a Big Blue Berry Brain-Breaking Ball-Blower strain from a big bass fiddle, but I know what I like...and I got it.
Package came discreet, a flat pkg. Nothing noteworthy.
Had no issues, so I can't speak to how their cust service is.
They take a long time to deliver, or that's the way it seems to me, around a month. Maybe they are all like this, I have only started growing, and only have used OSS, so no basis for comparison. Are there any companies out there that deliver more quickly? Guess I've gotten spoiled by Amazon Prime.
So I just ordered some autos from them...they say to allow 28-35 days for delivery. I bought 6 autos, they threw in 2 others (this time strain unknown, but autos), now I'm just drumming my fingers and waiting.
So that's how they worked for me. Except for the delivery time, I like them alright.

Give me a few weeks, and I'll be able to tell you a litltle about MSNL, too.....I have an order for some autos in the works with them.
