20 tonnes of bird poop

Hi all. This is my first post and this is also my first medical grow. I have a farm that I used to farm duck eggs. Over the years I've accumulated a LOT of manure (now nice compost). It's very light textured and completely composted and full of worms. I'm mixing it with Pro Mix about 70/30 with the compost being 70%. I also water with compost tea every week. With the exception of leaving the seedlings in drink cups for a month in just the Pro Mix and not adding any nutes. And over watering the odd time. And not noticing the little darlings getting root bound and thinking it was lack of water (hence the over watering) the girls are doing fine, I think? They're just over 7 weeks now and at their 6-7 node. They were given their bigger pots just over 2 weeks ago. I'm growing under 2 600 HPS. My question is... can I grow the whole time with just the compost and tea or will I have to supplement with other nutes? Any and all comments appreciated. Thx

I think you should try it with no additives first. If you need them you will know by the way the plants look, they may pale or get deficiencies. You could always be on the safe side and keep them on hand should you need them, but I would imagine that your mixture will grow weed just fine :)

Thanks for the input hybrid. The plants look healthy enough, but I'm concerned about their height. The internodes nodes are only about 1-1.5 inches and they're now about 8 weeks. I think that being in the small cups for so long, they may be stunted. I'll upload some pics maybe. Thanks again.

Sell it! I'm growing in it!:D Here's some pics of the first seedlings at 4 weeks grown in strait Pro-Mix and ones that I hatched out 3 weeks ago in my compost. See any difference?IMG_2719.jpgIMG_2792.jpg

And here's what the little ones look like now after being transplanted into compost/Pro-Mix and fed tea.

They look happy and green.. they seem to like your mix. The real test comes when they really need food for flower production, I will be interested in those results for sure.

Even sub says that growing in his super soil that some times you have add nutrients ...your girls look really nice...happy growing...

True enough. I do give them a drink of compost tea with some kelp concentrate and fish ferts ever couple of weeks.
