I was seeing if it was even possible to finish some strains I had with materials I had. Gg4 and wedding cake finished. Going to try and build a properly done greenhouse this summer. There are autos that won't finish here if we have a late spring and a early winter. Last summer we had from June 1st till October 10th. That almost never happens.

I'm on the hunt for the earliest of the photos that act like photos.
Also going to vent my indoor heat to the GH Double wall if I can to extend season from April 1st till November 15th..

is that a freak snowstorm you are getting or just late finish?
We have a wide range of lengths of viable growing season. The change to winter can happen with a storm and not leave. I have many pictures of snow covered outdoor plants. Even have a couple that don't mind frost.

It's damn near a waste here outdoor without a light dep.

Manitoba is even shorter! In Ontario, Oct. can be iffy past the first week so I start them indoor around mid April and hope for early spring to plant outside last week of May or early June. Hopefully start budding up in July to finish 8 weeks later. I'm at 44.6 degrees north and 75 degrees west, Brockville, Ontario.:bigjoint:

that's where I get my Pro Mix and bird seed! Small world. I met a guy on here from Kingston I visit regularly. Unfortunately he is battling battling cancer and taking chemo but can clone on a cue ball! Makes his own led setups and programming. I'm in the west end of Brockville, been here since 1988. Ph342 9793, call if you want to make contact.

It would be nice to have some land to go wild with a crop, I've always had to hide them somewhat as I live in the city, pop.20k but backyard is fenced in with grape vines as natural camo on fences. Since weed became legal, I can grow 4 outside so I made a cage fight enclosure, no roof but I hook up a sprinkler on motion detector and top wire is electrified barb wire and security camera on house. Of course, after all that I haven't been ripped in 10 years but they will have to work for it!
Looks like Deer would be more of a prob. than rippers at your locale, their population is thru the roof here in Mass. and I work at a golf course in Rhode Island (no hunting allowed) and they are super ballsey there, not even concerned w/humans being present

I grabbed 2 strains from the Seed Cellar in Michigan that have a 45-55 finish,"Apple Blossom",Humbolt Seed Co. and "Oregon Noble" Alphakronic.

I love the early Afghan strains, shorter sturdier plant, no staking for the most part, lots of finger hash. I make muffins, don't smoke but 2 ozs of crushed bud makes 24-26 muffins. Been doing that since I quit smoking it in 1990. I eat about 3 a day.

not far from you too :blsmoke: feel like we are a lot in this aera lol im near napanee
I was in Napanee last fall at Sandy Pines, my pet raccoon had porcupine quills in his face and they took them out but thought he wasn't acting right and wanted to put him down! I had to tell them he's a pet, he's not wild and after observing him they let me pick him up and take him home. I donated $250 to the centre as medical bill.

There is also Oregon Green Seed in Oregon, it's a small operation run by a lady, who actually called me over a order one year, anyway she specializes in developing strains for outdoors in Oregon, she crosses and backcrosses strains to get them to flower earlier as it's very wet in Southern Oregon, you might want to check the site out www.oregon green seed.com
