Got mini desk fan for tent.
Still need to set up air system in tent

Got 2nd purple punch clone planted.

Starting sprout of 9lb hammer regular seeds.
Planning to get large 4x4x6 tent and letting a majority of the plants do open pollination from 9lb hammer males. Will set aside 4 strong plants and clones for this season, and will keep clones in vegg to keep current strains.
Will take 2 cuttings from each strain:

Purple punch
9lb hammer (jinx proof seeds)
Cheese fem (parent skunk #1, seed man seeds)
Peyote critical fem (Barney seeds)
Sensie super skunk (sensie seeds)

Transfer 9lb seedlings to wet paper towel to finish sprouting for a day or two
Placed safe plant in grow tent to help spark vegg stage growth.
Ordered 2nd large grow tent 4x4x6.6 inch (coolgrows)
And 2nd light COB LED like the last one.
Will supplement extra light with cheap LED grow lights from last season.
For this season, I will be using the large tent for open pollination.
The old tent will hold 4 plants for personal use. I will need to hook up the electric timer to the wall, and run power cords from it to the lights for both tents.
That way I will not need to buy another electric timer right away.
Then just plug the fans into the straight wall jack.

The new COB LED lights make a complete difference in the grow rate inside the tents.

Transplanted Purp5 into large pot.
Gave Matt 4 seedlings: 2 peyote critical, 1 cheese, 1 super skunk.
Put oscillating fan towards plants.
1 9lb hammer plant starting to sprout through soil.
Waiting on new tent before transplanting the rest of the seedlings to pots.

Transferred all seedlings to large pots. Placed 10 on plants in big tent, 3 in smaller tent. I sprayed gnat insecticide on plants and in soil to help kill spider mites and gnats. The desk fan I raised up on a platform to be able to blow on all the plants. The 3 plants in small tent are 3 9lb hammer plants. I am monitoring them to see if they turn out to be female or male plants. Once I find which is plants are male I will switch them all to the large tent, and put 3 to 4 “extra” fem plants into the small tent. This way I can have stuff to smoke an still have seed stock as well. I will be keeping at least 1 9lb hammer female plant in the big tent as well.

2 9lb hammer plants turned male with one other possibility being male. Moved them to the bathroom to finish growing pollen sacs.

Moved last final 9lb hammer plant back to big tent to start 12/12.

Will wait a day or two to see if 3rd plant turns out male.

Thinned our the sugar leaves of the female plants. Switched lighting schedule to off at 7 am to 7 pm. To reduce heat, and humidity in the tent.

Since I do not have a dehumidifier or a tent ventilation system at this time, I leave the top corner flap open will all lights in the room turned off. This has helped to stop the “raining” inside the tent as well.

Checking on make plant today to see if pollen sacs are about to open.

—————————————

20200630
Moved both male plants back in with the rest of the flowering plants. Trying open pollination.

————————————-

20200713
Seeds have started to form on all the buds on all my female plants. I took cuttings of the male flowers and put them aside to dry out in order to collect pollen from the 9lb hammer males. Once the pollen sacs were harvested, I chopped down both males.

————————————

20200714
The pollen sacs are now Dried out. I removed the stems and flowers from the aluminum foil I had them laying out on. I had an extra plastic vile container that I used to put the left over pollen into. I placed the plastic vile in a small air tight glass container and put it in the freezer for future grows or doing a back breeding with the seeds from this harvest in the future.

The first milestone for the seeds coming to maturity is on July 22nd. This will be the 50 day mark of 12/12 lighting. The next milestone will be august 1st when the flowers reach day 60. I will probably harvest all the plants on this day. Then it will take a week or two of drying.

Once the plants are harvested, it will be time to put their clones in larger pots and set on 8/16 lighting for 3 weeks, before switching to 12/12 lighting to give them a chance to root well and recoup from the transplant. This next batch will be for smokable herb as appears to making seeds.

I will need to wash the tent out to make sure no male pollen is still alive. I will mostly use soap and water to nullify the leftover pollen.

I purchased 6 5 gallon plastic buckets from Lowe’s for $3 each. This is in prep for when I get my Thailand strain seeds in. I will be purchasing new fox farm potting soil for all the buckets in the near future as well.
