Its like comparing hot house tomatoes to sun ripened off the vine tomatoes. Especially here in mass the dispensary weed is garbage they don't have the experience of the Cali commercial growers yet and honestly treat it as a business and not an agricultural product.
this motivated me to switch to home growing. anyone been to berkshire hydro(pittsfield)? thoughts opinions?

Hey matty, I was starting to dig through this thread and the other one shes referring to.. Im really interested to try this out as well.. I've never smoked any fermented bud, have you? Have there been any tests done on it that you know of?

I was thinking of trying the way she describes at first, But I was checking out the replies and this person mentions another users method of using just rubbermaid containers and it seems like an easier starting point to see how it comes out. Heres the post Im referring too.

I guess theres an archive of the original post on icmag where they we're trying to figure this out and it was up to 250+ pages early 2018 Ill take a look for it in a little bit, but thought you might want to go this route as well if you're just experimenting with it.

Cheers
:peace:
I cant say I have, but I really want to try! Honestly it was posted by some guy I follow on instagram, never heard of it before that. I read into it a little but haven't actually sat down to map things out yet. If I cant get to it this harvest I might try it later this year if I can get my indoor capabilities up and running. 100% I would do it with the bin/heating mat , seems like the easiest path to follow. Although im just fine with regular flower I think it would be sick to experience what a fermented high is like lol

The cannabis business here is strictly commercial. All about mass production and profits they don’t care about quality. It’s really too bad. No way a small mom and pop grower can produce a quality product and sell it legally to make a living
well we need more co operatives of smaller growers combined forces

but if you cut the buds that are like thumb nail size then youre plant will devote much more energy into youre bigger buds
I hold the likely unpopular opinion of this being a myth.
I believe there is a potential maximum for the cola, ( if the pot is big enough like a soil run with plenty of compost ) and cutting off a piece here, doesnt make the other get bigger, I believe it would've stayed the same whether you cut it or not.

I've never noticed a difference other than airflow or something else like that, but not really for size. (maybe for hydro back in the day, or small pot grows 5-10gal)

I think of it like this... If you were growing and you cut off a finger, would the others grow bigger because of the extra 'energy'? Granted this is a human vs. plant... But I've found marijuana and growing in general has so many metaphors for life.

/End unpopular opinion

I have heard of a version of this the jamaicans make, they mix flower, honey, and grain alcohol and something else - and bury it. I used to spear tobacco and they told me about it one day
Authenticated it from an OG Jamaican. This is a process you need to be careful with, the recipe is important.
Cobs seem to add a.whole new level of bacteria possibilities, but, whatever hits your hole.

Tims good shit. Usually can negotiate a little off prices. He's been having a tough time staying in stock through this. I usually go for soil/pots and sometimes nutes.

He has seeds and shit too, thats how I got into the mephisto autos.

I have a friend whose grown them okay, and honestly that might be where these ones in my greenhouse came from ha.

I haven't and don't plan on buying any myself. I have some nice Grimm's Brothers seeds to do outside next year and will probably grow inside once I get my new tent dialed in with some autos this winter.

Anywho, I buy from him what I can to support a local guy whose pushed a lot in the community for it, but I don't get everything there.

I've switched to hempy and trying for the KiSs method on feeding with 100 percent perlite. actually its a hybrid hempy with a partial soil core(not my idea but I liked reading the results with Ffof which is the only thing I need sourced locally) I'm hoping it makes me a hempy convert , otherwise if I go back to soil it might be to try the Stonington blend i saw on the floor next to the ocean forest

Oh without a doubt, and a fairly costing failure if you dont get it right. I don't have much experience with fermenting other than LABS which I messed up the first time lol

Had a better chance to inspect my plants today after the storm. All seems well So far. Had one main branch split but I sprayed some aloe on the wound and taped it up beat i could and supported it. That was yesterday morning and as of today that branch isn’t showing any signs of stress so I think I lucked out. Definitely need to prepare better next year after the stretch. My big plant is supported by a scrog net but stretched about 5 ft past it quickly and I never really supported the tops good enough so that’s something I have to wrk on in the future. Definitely having the plastic cover helps a ton keeping the rain off them though

i havent grown enough to say. ive always heard it and read it everywhere. not saying youre wrong either. ive been doing it and saving the popcorn buds for bubble hash. to me it makes no sense to save a nugget that when dried wont even be big enough to roll a joint ya know? but to each his own. ill try in my indoor grow to not do it. everything is a expieriment for me

Wunderground 10-day forecast shows possible showers tomorrow, some rain on Monday and 5 nights in the 40s. Not perfect but nothing like yesterday to contend with, anyway.

Waziri 2 is a pain in the ass mold-wise; I found several more small outbreaks today. Every flower site on her has to be inspected right side up, upside down and sideways both ways - sometimes the only sign is a slightly twisted half-inch leaf. Morning inspection took like an hour, and most of it was spent on her. This plant is gonna nickel and dimebag me to death, LOL
