220v 400 watt m/h into a 120v HOW?

I jst bought a 400 watt metal halide ballast and bullb with cord hooked up to a 220v plug, the kind for your washer and dryerr. But my closet is 120v, what do i need to do to powerd the light in my closet with out spending alot, the whole setup was 30$ on craigslist, the local school built a new gym and is sellin them fo 30 and 1000 watt m/h for 45$.. but any ways what do i do

How far is it from the breaker box to your location? Buy 10 guage 3 wire and a 15 amp two pole breaker. Wire it. Plug it in.

check the ballast, it maybe a multi tap ballast for many different types of voltage. high bay fixtures often are...

it should be multi tap ballist, if not jus buy a 120v ballist for your local electrical supply shop, oh yeah and south texas weed sucks i brought some back to cali and couldn't even sell it, so i just made hash oil out of it, i feel sorry for you people.

yea there is alot of dirt weed, you have to no were to get your bud, exp being 4 hours from the mexico order.. But let me ask you, if you grow white wodow in cali and my supplier grows it in tx, isnt it the same? no were you get your weed from and that wont happen.. OO and thanks for the advise, if i bought the fixture for 40, why would i buy a whole new, iI actually bought a converter for 11.99, so i spent a total 52$ for a m/h 400 watt, remote ballast.. Alll thanks to yall...sike I dont even no why i posted when no one even new, just went to the local home depot and they actually new what they were talking about
