untill yesterday i was using a 250w mh and last night i was given a 600w hps light with ballast .
i currently have the 250w mh running over my seedlings in my tent, Witch is 90cm/50cm/160cm ,
should i put the 600hps in their also???? ventalation hasnt been a problem so far ive tested both running in the tent and temps are ok.
also the bulbs would be pretty close together would that be a problem??
any tips?

ok so a little homework goes a long way before ur first grow, im currently in my first grow ever but i did a few weeks research first. MH produces blue spectrum light which is good for vegatative grow phase, ie now. when flowering there is a lot of debate about which is better, mh or HPS, hps is almost all red and is traditionally thought of as the best light for flowering, however from what i have read, the UVB light given off from mh lights causes flowering mj plants to produce more resin like sunblock for them, and the buds tighten up significantly, whereas red spectrum produces bigger, airier, lighter buds. in my grow i intend to use both so i will have good resin production with bigger buds :)

cheerin yeah i was thinking having mostly red(600w hps) with a bit of blue(250wmh) would be good for flower =)
