2700k cfls for vegging

i messed up a bit and realized im using 2700k cfls to veg instead of 5500-6500k, will this make a huge difference because my plants seem to be doing quite well to me?

No actual I prefer red all the way thru ...

They will actually do well in any spectrum the sun gives out...when I used CFLs I mixed it up with 2700k, 3000k, 4100k 5000k and 6500k...my raptors are runin' a 4200k MH and I veg and flower just fine with 1 bulb...well actually 4 as I have dual bulb raptors that run 2,000w each...and there's 6 of those 2 in each room

ok awesome im growing in a small closet just 3 plants and only using 2 150 watt 2700k cfls but like i said they seem to be doing fine is that enough light also the closet is white which is good

If you can make a hood of the 2-150w CFLs and then get some 23w 2700k CFLs (walmart $24 for a 12 pack) and hang them all around them at different heights...my buddy Bakatare666 is growing some killer ladies with CFLs...check him out here https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/416589-12-12-seed-thread-1135.html he's got lights everywhere...

wow man thats great ill have to get some more light in there soon, i just posted a new threead with a video of my plants you should check them out and also i do have a hood made up out of a turkey tray it works well

also its my first grow so im still figuring it all out i know there are many things i could be doing better i just need time and experience to tweak it all and do better im just excited to be growing lol

The old turkey tray trick huh...lol...I've done it and pie pans...lmao...but check this out, for 16 bucks you can get a piece of sheet metal air duct from lowes and make a few awesome hoods on the cheap and the refraction is much better, like looking at a spotlight...just a thought...but either way good luck man...and hey, welcome to RIU...

No prob bro...ya lights the key, and directing it with a good reflective hood...and yep, most of us are peace lovin' pot smokers and chill every chance we get but there are the assholes that'll put ya down so don't listen to them bro...peace...
