28 Inch Height Fence Tall Enough To Keep Out Animals? Quick Replies Please!!

I recently purchased a chain link fence that is 28 inches tall and has holes that are no bigger than an inch or so wide. I am growing outside in a forest area but not very deep at all into it. Will this work to keep rabbits, squirrels, deer and other animals out? I know deer could jump higher than that easily but the area inside the fence will be very small so I don't think a deer would jump over anyway because it wouldnt be able to get out easily.

a fence is better then no fence and i think it would help i dont think deer would go through all that trouble for some may jane plants even thoe i will either way good luck
