its called a mogul socket. they have 5$ socket enlargers that convert standard to mogul at hardware stores (also online for like 2$+shipping which will probably end up at about the same price as the hardware store). some hardware stores even carry mogul high wattage cfls, but be careful not to overload the standard socket with the new bulbs, could start a fire. lol.

UPDATE:

Today is offically day one of flowering i switched my 125 watt 6500k bulb for a 250 2700k bulb. Threw the timer on twelve twelve, and put on my patient pants.

You can get similar results with materials completely purchased from walmart.

But, You can also find a few things at dollar stores, like pots, gloves, sometimes starter soils, the twisty compact flourescents.

Keep your eyes open, you dont really need a hydro shop.
