2nd Grow: Jock Horror and Blue Mystic Autos

Hey all,

I have my 2nd grow going now and I've switched from DWC to Hempy buckets. I have 1 Blue mystic going and 3 Jock Horror. They're all auto flowers and they are inside a Hempy with all perlite and just some hydroton rocks on the top to keep away algae growth.

All plants are on the Fox Farm hydro schedule. On to the pics.

1st Jock Horror is almost 1 week into flower (two more days till its 1 week). I have a carbon filter in the PC Case I am using and I am LST'ing right now. One of the rubber bands snapped though and cut some of the fan leaves. Not too worried, but I may supercrop some of the branches just to keep them all even.

hehe but really looks likea sick grow ive been tempted to try a hydro or aero in my pc case but i get nervous about that much sitting water and also having to change out the water (i heard you need to switch out the water every week??)

Whats your experience been like using DWC in a PC?

The Hempy's are the SHIT man! All you have to do is keep the ph at 6.0 and you are set. The DWC was a pita because the ph in the water keep fluctuating so much. Hempys are passive hydro. You water one day, take a day off, water with nutes the next, take a day off, water with water again. It doesnt get much easier than that!

I have 3 places to grow right now. 1.) jock horror in the pc case. 2.) jock horror in a grow box (the 3 are in there blue mystic and 2 jock horrors). 3.) DR40 tent with 150 watt hps. I am just getting down a multiple grow and want to see the difference I get from CFL buds and HPS buds. The blue mystic and jock horror that are the same length are going under the HPS after about 3-4 weeks of veg.

The best way to grow is to setup some small little boxes and just test a bunch of methods. The last white widow I grew under cfls in the grow box and was able to get close to an ounce off it. Its been some really damn good weed too. So feel free to sit back and watch and ask questions. Its might hope that we can all use this to learn / develop our own techniques.

Well know i sound dumb but what is a hempy???

From you pictures im guessing you have a tub that you flood with water/water-nutes and containers with holes in the bottom that absorb this liquid via perilite?

A hempy bucket is just any bucket where you drill a 7/16th size hole 2 inches up from the bottom. When you water, you wait till water starts pouring out of the hole and then stop. The pan is just there to catch the water so it can be dumped. I was skeptikal of this method too before I tried it. Its seriously made this growing experience much easier. Everything I read said that it was exactly like growing in soil, but with the benefits of hydro. No moving parts, no pumps to break. You just PH the water to 6.0 and watch the girl get more beautiful everyday!

Nirvana doesn't use ruderails with their autos. In fact, most people complain that they aren't like the lowryder or lowlife autos. People have been saying they've vegged for 45 weeks and haven't even seen pistols and have had to throw them under 12/12 lighting. I have this one under 12/12 in the PC Case because its more of an experiment and wanted to work on new techniques.

Im thinking that might be true. I've been using filtered water with PUR and think I need to switch back to using distilled water.

Quality pics, looks like theres only a few minor issues so far. I'm sure theyll be solved in the coming weeks :-P

Also heres a great guide, that I frequent when I'm having issues (to confirm my suspicion on a def).

Love the hempy buckets! Could u get a few more shots of the effected leaves?
