so i just had my second harvest still learning not great yields but for some reason this whole grow has seeds. bought feminized seeds raspberry cough and kandy kush from nirvana. not sure what happened one theory is that when i was adding lights i had them off during light cycle, they were already in flower, and a friend of mine mentioned it might shock them and thus make seeds. i just picked through one raspberry cough and its a ton of seeds brown, green, stripped. my question is could this have happened with what my friend said with light being out during light cycle? and main question will these seeds be fem or 50 50? thank you in advance

Nirvana is meh, genetics are a factor in herms. What do you mean by "light being out during light cycle"? Also, herm seeds will most likely also be unstable

they were in flower, and i added another light to get more light in the tent. they were already on 12hr. when i was trying to install the new the light the other one unplugged and fell. so i just kept it off, maybe 10 or 15 min to install the other one and move the other light. and then turned both on.(using bestiva LEDs)
my friend suggested the site i had decent luck with some other strain from that site. got some from growers choice in cali for 3rd round this timeand they are looking very nice. so trying to avoid same situation and get a good yield

Water will do the trick but always a good idea to use a disinfectant. Mild H2O2 or Bleach solution.

It's possible your flowering area has a light leak. Female plants will make some male flowers if they are exposed to "light bleed" during their dark time. Might want to check your tent or flowering area to make sure during lights off, no pinhole leaks or other light can be "seen" by your sleeping plants.
As an aside, people who grow in back yards should be paying attention to porch lights and light leaking from the house or street lights where the back yard plants can "see" it.
All it takes is one or two plants to throw a few male flowers and then it's a seed orgy.

I’m not sure they would've gone hermie after 15 mins of dark during the light cycle. I’ve put my girls under way more stress than that and they’ve been fine. A few hours with a big temp change, that could do it but 10-15 mins is meh. Probably bad seeds.

Yeah I’ve definitely stressed my plants bad moving them to different places and I didn’t get seeds. I did just order a bunch of seeds from nirvana And I’ll be very upset if I get herms especially since I’m waiting to start again until I get them.
are they shipping to us ? had this blueberry kush auto my buddy gave me which was my best yield and flavor for 1st time

I don’t get what where they are shipping to has to do with anything but that’s good to know. I’ve heard good things about nirvana but once in a while you get a horror story
cause i thought they closed international shipping, they are in Netherlands and im in the US

Nirvana's site still states they ship to US but may have a delay due to the covid shit. Those who bash Nirvana are usually the ones who can't grow feild grass. Sure, some smaller breeders are merchandising some unique strains but it's still up to the grower...
Occasionally, I've seen seeds where seeds shouldn't be and typically it was due to a stress factor such as heat...Never had any issue after adding ac to my tent.
Ain't gonna be easy to get rid of any pollen...even though a spray of water kills pollen, you can't spray your lights...
Seldom try to germ any seeds from a herm (due to any reason)...usually ain't worth the soil waste.
