I would say your KESSIL is WAY TOO CLOSE :eyesmoke: When my Kessil was at the same distance from the top of a mature plant, I got bleaching. Are you planning on growing only the one plant under the Kessil?
Ya, I think I read one of your post talking about bleaching from it being to close.
You say its already to close, I will back it off some.

I just got a Solar Flare and was thinking about using that, but I really want to see the results using only the kessil lights. (one deep purple and one magenta)

I thought about even doing a side by side test, kessil vs the Solar Flare, but that will be next i guess..

Thanks for the suggestion, I just moved it back up, and I will give that a try.

I am so jealous watching all of you get your babies started, keeping my fingers crossed that Attitude delivers on time or I will be resorting to some freebie N/L blue from delicious seeds, not even sure if they are AUTO or Photoperiod, had some freebies one time that turned out to be autos but not labeled as an auto.

I got two going but I am going to regretfully retract from the competition. I ordered 48" t5's for the veg tv and the LED panel will be going up to the flower room for some additional side lighting. So unless I can start flower soon these will be under T5's...

Here they are, nothing special, just some of the freebies i got including top 44, special kush, cyber crystal, and dna genetics pure afghan. all in roots organics which is a fail because i shouldve put some supersoil down there. im going to bust out a surgery to throw some in there as soon as they sprout, but once they do they are going in the flower room.(just chilling under the t8 in the clone dome) i know i couldve pushed the yield if i did this hempy style but im seriously moving my whole grow organic. mixing chemicals is getting painstakingly boring.

you will not regret going organic!! one thing though, from personal experience, you dont want to use supersoil in small containers especially not 16 oz. You won't be able to put enough to make a difference other than burning your young plants.

So I use bottled nutes for the competition along with compost teas

One more thing, can the cup have holes in the sides like air pots???? I know this was discussed in the registration thread but I don't remember if there was a definite answer to that question.

Hey Puff, I keep meaning to ask, do we need to use colored cups or can they be clear??
Hey Bags don't use a clear cup, but if you do cover it up with tape.

I'm doing the hole thing. I would think anything that doesn't make the container bigger would be fair play. Right?

I would like in on this!
I put in the request on the registration page so I hope I'm not too late to get in.

strain name: Jamaican Dream
date germed: 12/18/12
date date seeds pop out of cup: TBD they are taking a bath in a contact lens case as of 10 minutes ago

Strain: Free seed, first time grow. I'll include pic with info
Medium: 100% Turface, first time trying this. Going to be in a Hempy style Green Party Cup
Nutrients: Osmocote Plus, Hygrozyme, Protekt, CalMag, Bloombastic (maybe) Rev Osmosis Water
Light: Blackstar (can't think of watts 230?)
Training: Not sure yet?

This could be an epic fail or turn out to be my best grow - still a fairly new grower

Johnnymcpotts, I absolutely love Hygrozyme, I started using it a couple of months ago and my plants have never looked better. I am interested in seeing how the Osmocote works out, I use that stuff in my regular household plants. You really have an interesting mixture of soil and nutes, I am looking forward to seeing your results.

I just started using osmocote and so far so good. No idea how it will do in flower yet. I've read great things about hygrozyme as well, just picked it up last week. We will see what happens, I figure this is the time to go big and try something new. I'm ready to get this party cup started

Yeah FranJan, that does sound good, although I really want to keep at least one of them considering it was a cannabis cup winner. Maybe I will just germ 2 of them and keep the other for when I have room to add it into my lineup of awesome strains, amongst my favorites are BLZ and Tutankhamon. Now I just have to hope Attitude gets me the order before it is too late, otherwise I will be using some other freebies I had lying around (x3 Delicious seeds N/L Blue), not sure whether they are FEM or REG though.
they are fem and like all nL preform well

OK here goes
First I need to find some cups of the right size :)
then I will put up some scaffolding to support the weight of all the buds I am going to grow:twisted:
so seeds
2 X Anesthesia (fem) from Pyramid seeds
and am ordering 3x NL x Big Bud From Original sensible seeds (fem) (world of seeds) (I need to confirm availability) which I will have in hand by Jan the 2nd sorry for such a late start
Im not sure what the wet dry cycle is going to be so I will be using 100% CO/CO with a few pebbles in the bottom for 2 cups and a 25%perlite/75% coco for 3 cups
My first thoughts are if the medium is to light and the wet dry cycle is to fast then the ph is going to be ping-ponging everywhere although this is only speculation
I did think of using pure per-lite with a drip feed every 2 hours to waste but wasn't sure if this infringed on the rules ;) that would be the best system I think if expensive in nutes as I wouldn't be allowed to recirculate but that would keep the ph steady as a rock
will post pics tomorrow of the Anesthesia packet ready to germinate
For lights I will be using my 100/200 watt Fero's veg light and then later in flower Feroledeurope's new light being released in January
I think I am going to use something like sgt Johns system of stabilizing the cups with maybe a mini wire scrog as well for sure I will be topping them the earliest I can and encourage them to spead
