Good morning everyone,

First actual thread post here on roll it up.

This is my 2nd run. China Yunnan is the strain.

My first run went extremely well , until the end.. Somehow I had seeds develop... did have a male in the room. Thought I took him out soon enough . But maybe not...

Anyways , moving on to better things. Let me know what you think. Can add more photos later if you want or need.

Setup is a 5x5 tent, 1000w variable, 450cf fan. Veg tent is 4x2x5, with 3 led grow lights.

Used advanced for the first run. Still have some left, but trying kiss method this round just to lower variables and keep things simple :) ( for now)

Very nice.

Yeah ditch the AN stuff next time around. It's a money grab and complicated for no reason. They design it in a way to lock you into using their product. I can recommend the 3 part GH line, Nutri+ line and maxibloom from personal experience. Currently using Nutri+ since I need a liquid fertilizer (hpa Aero) and it's simple, inexpensive, and effective. Heard Jack's is great but hard to find in Canada.

Yeah gh. Will be the next test unless I don't like the effects of the kiss method.

Another little update.

Great growth coming . Couple leaves here and there are yellowing, located deep down below. But 99% is prime. Especially new growth. Keeping Ph between 5.8-6.3. Slowly bringing ppm up until I notice any burn or damage .

Any tips, tricks, guidance is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time,

Looks good so far. Sometimes stress or environmental factors cause a plant to herm. Genetics as well. Make sure you don't have any light leaks in your tent. Also watch for extreme temperature swings. Nutrient lockout can also herm a plant. Last run might not have been a Male is my point. Your current grow looks awesome. Keep it up. Also to nutrients, less is sometimes more. Just give your plants what they need and nothing more. Be sure to flush good at the end as well.

Thank you very much for your response.

Now what would be considered a light leak . When ever I stand in the tent it's pitch black. Sometimes at the right angle and if the fan is on 100% it flexes the material so I see a smaller the a pin sized hole.

Would that be enough ? Does that make sense?

Should I throw duct tape over any of these small holes that I find ?

There's much debate over how much light leaks is needed to cause adverse effects. I'd say it wouldn't hurt to cover those pin holes.

Dont use duct tape to cover holes, use this:

https://www.amazon.com/J-B-Weld-31319-Silicone-Adhesive/dp/B00ID8F8E4/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1542084130&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=black+silicone+rtv&dpPl=1&dpID=51JHtK2tg9L&ref=plSrch

You can get it at any auto parts chain, Walmart, big box stores etc.

It’s permanent, and easy. Duct tape doesn’t like to stick to the tent fabric. This will stick to the fabric and seams so you can seal anything.

Press around the seams outside the tent with the light on, within reason, and check for pinholes.

Great idea! I'll grab some today.

Thank you for the replies everyone !

Just a quick update.

I'm thinking I should start a journal and do a daily update. Even for just for myself. It would help me keep a good record of the process and what was done.

Again. Very good growth in a day. Ph 6.08. Checked every branch and will continue to do so until the end for , balls, seeds , anything. Document if it does happen, when and where first.

Hoping it's not genetics !

They look great !! You can bend over and tie down those taller colas to get a more even canopy. As a bonus the lower bud sites on the ones you bend over will swell up.

Great idea. Will be done this afternoon when lights come back on.

I did lst, as well as topping early in veg to create some additional tops. Think even those taller ones could be side branches.

So another update.

Haven't tied the tall branches down yet. Slowed the watering down a little bit for a day. Looks like they did ok with it ! I ph to 5.8 one day after filling. Then it slowly rises. Gets to about 6.2 when the res is done.

So good ph coverage I would think for nutrients ?

Thinking about 4 weeks left. IMG_20181116_1654038.jpg

Good morning everyone,

Hate to revive the thread but wanted to keep all the info together.

Almost 2 weeks since original post. Thinking they might have 3 weeks left ?? Any opinions ? IMG_20181127_1552056.jpg

Still feeding every water. Around 1300ppms. Sometimes 1100 because I noticed some small curving and tip burn.

Overall managing very well I think. Now to start thinking of exactly how I'm going to dry/cure all of this... last time didn't go so well.

Alright everyone ! She's done. All the plants have been cut and hanging for about 3 -5 days. Starting to dry up nicely.

I did pull some branches earlier then others to help find the best drying time in my environment, on top of different timing. I also trimmed and cut the plants very differently .

Plant #1 -I left completely whole. Only dead leaves pulled off.

Plant #2- I left all together, but took off as much excess leaf as I could.

Plant #3 -one plant I completely separated each branch and trimmed leaves

Plant #4 - separated the branches but left leaves on.

I will have better close ups of the buds later, once trimming is completed.

Would like to repeat that this entire grow was done with kiss principle. Only maxibloom. 1 tsp per gal. Or would work from 1000ppm to 1700ppm at peak. China yunnan is the strain !

Ph was 5.6-6.5 throughout the entire grow.

Very minor pest issues that were resolved with dishsoap and water foliage sprays. Thinking these pests are fluctuating with the weather, whenever it gets really cold I find they come back. When it gets warmer , they all leave without any added motivation.

Hoping for a pound. Lets see how it goes !!
