Hey guys. I’m running a blurple led, actual watts 191, and I’m growing in happy frog mixed with roots organic. How long do I need to veg before flipping to flower?

The plant will start throwing pistols when it's ready. Or, if you want to keep it smaller, just flip it when it's the size you want to grow. Normally, people veg for 4-6wks. Longer for some strains, shorter for others.

Give us some more information and I'm sure people will chime in with better advice.

Well, pics (not purple) would help a lot.

RH, Temp, Ph, Medium, Nutes, and strain are normally what people need to offer an opinion. you answered medium and nutes already, but that's only part of the story.

Maybe 5 weeks at most from sprout if planting straight to the 3. Using smaller pots and transplanting may take more time, but you'll have a bigger, robust plant. Like solo > 1 gallon > 3 gallon.

How many plants do you plan on growing?

Yes that was my idea. And 2 lemon skunk strains

I had the same thought. With 3gal pots, in a 2X2, I'm thinking he'd get a max of 3 in there. 2 would be safer though.
I agree with this. 2 would be better. Would 3 phenos have any room in a tent that small? That’s about the same size as mine I couldn’t imagine 3 autos let alone phenos

If you decide to mainline, I would get the plants to their 3rd node in solo's, top above the 3rd and transplant to 1 gallon, finish up the mainline, grow it out and transplant to the 3 gallon.

Or you could set up a scrog. You can use string to make a net. Tie a string to each corner of the tent, creating a square. Then make 3 inch squares by tying string from one side to the other, making the "net". I prefer scrog, tho mainline are nice too

I take back what I said. 2 plants does seem ideal over 4

I just transplanted them in solos, they were in jiffy pellets

You have enough power for your space. With 191 actual wattage, your at 47.5 watts per square foot. I dont know much about blurple LEDs to tell what's better. I have seen that TS1000 being touted here. 200 to 250 watts would be nice in that size tent

So what does scrogging do?

It sort of functions as an LST. When the plant(s) reach the net, you continue to tuck the stems under the net. This will spread your canopy evenly. Great technique as fas as yields. Look it up. It's not hard, but may take some practice to get it just right. Anything under the net will be cut off and only a sea of colas in the light will get chunky
