Just wondering if 3k will trigger any big alerts from my energy company. I'm guessing not due to most heaters being 2k+

Currently living in the UK in a 5 bedroom house if that helps.

3000 kWh and 2k watts are entirely different. I pull 2800 monthly and that is a butt load compared to other normal folks around here.

Very true. I'm planning on having 3 x 600w flowering lamps with 1 x 300w Vegging light, 2 x 30w extractors & a 500w heater. Is that risky?

No not suspicious at all as it is a 5 bedroom flat. Pay your bill on time , that is what they care about most. Even with a smart meter they wont have any reason to look at the time/duration if the bill is paid on time.

So in other words if I have a smart meter then yes? If so what's a reasonable amount? I'm presuming smart meters can report obvious 12/24 & 18/24 blips right?
Its not the volume of power used but rather the regularity of its use, lights go on same time each day ...without fail,
to any mom, pop or engineer should see regular volumes of consumption,
but in the end only you will know, best deal is to have your own place, safer then?

Yeah that's what I figured, actually I live at home (parents house) in a pretty upperclass neighbourhood, so I'm wondering if that will help my cause?

What I'm thinking is to leave my 2k heater off for the whole of the winter (starting next month) and turn on say 1800w worth of equipment, followed by around 3000w a month later, in the hopes to make it look a bit more legit. Am I better off just ditching one of the 3 600w lights? Or do you think my way is safe?

Thanks for your reply man, very helpful!

If anyone else has any info/stories to contribute that would be super helpful, especially if you're using similar amounts of electricity in the UK. I don't wanna be lulled into a false sense of security and get raided, on the other hand, I also don't wanna spend the foreseeable future curtain twitching every time I roll one, aha.

Ditch one of the flowering lamps if your paranoid. If you use the other 2 properly and effectively you can be running a nice lil op. And yea the better neighborhood will help a bit.
As long as the bill get paid on time.
What are mom and pops gonna think about the new electric bill hmm?

No you're fine, try not to worry about things like power usage, or IR detecting helicopters

worry about the smell of your grow, and police informants (grasses)

"Mum, Plata o Plomo?"
"OG will do darling"

Jks aside, they don't mind, so long as they get their fair share ;)

2 1500 watt space heaters on a timer is not anything unusual . As long as the other people in the house are cool with it and the bill is paid on time then run that shit. you cannot get a warrant for search based on electrical consumption habits alone

Yes, most people are still pretty dumb to it "the smell" but do not rest on your laurels

watch out for all visitors to the home, especially work men, plumbers/electricians/builders

most of them smoke and half of them grow anyway, so these cunts are like sniffer dogs they spot/smell something they will know you have a grow in the house

i remember reading a thread a few years ago on another forum unrelated to weed these two dudes were "dustmen" and they were laughing about how they know where all the grows are in their area
as so many silly cunts throw bits of plants and perlite falling out of their rubbish bags

they went on to say how they always look out for light coming out of windows, extractors running in winter
this was because one of them was growing themselves lol

still this does not mean they will tell anyone, but obviously you do not want anyone to know, who does not need to know

peace
