3 lamp cmh setup

just made the switch from hps/mh to cmh to cut electric costs.. my question is, what is the best way to set them up for a 5x7 grow space.. I have an open garage grow room, but the area my plants take up is only 5x7 with good spacing for maintenance. Is it okay to install the lamps within a couple feet of each other? (2-3'). newb when it comes to cmh.

Appreciate the help

If 315w put them next to each other for flowering XXX if vegging X X X spaced according.. I built my own 4x5 tables and ran the sun system vertical 315 cmh, pulled a p a light, since then moved to 630cmh.

Why do they blowout Phillips bulbs? This sun system brand seems to only like a couple of different bulb companies. The ones that come stock in the flower power model basically come already falling apart.

For 3 315w CMH in a 5x7 you have two options.

3 fixtures in a row or in an L shape

It seems the Sun system flower power has an issue running Philips bulbs. I would try Hortiluxs CMH bulbs and if the issue still persists then I guess you are stuck using the recommended Par Pro bulbs.

Seems growers choice and ushio are working fine, so far. The par pro piece of sheet that it came with, had already fallen apart during shipment apparently. On all 3 lights. That tells me a. They dont care about their product, or b. Too cheap to use decent bulbs

Each 315 CMH is good for about 2.5 x 2.5 feet, 3x3 is pushing it to the max.
While I agree with @Renfro as stand alone fixtures I have found that the cmh will cover a 3'x3' space if they are set at center of hood to center of hood at 2'. The overlapping allows for good results. Mind you this is with a screen type of set up. I am a fan of the Hortilux bulb in flower and I use the Phillips 4k in veg.

First off, I dig your setup. I decided on the L like you have. I was looking at the floraflex manifold/bubbles today as well. I really want some for my watering setup

I'm about to change my 315 sunsystem lec bulb. Do the bulbs just pull straight out or do you need to twist it left?

Make sure it's in good, I had one I thought was twisted in and it just fell out and busted. Brand new philips bulb. :(
