A friend has a 5 foot tall real spindly plant just started to bud we want to know if we can cut the top foot off this plant and make it a clone and put it into a 12/12 indoor grow box
3 weeks into flower, 5 foot tall can I clone the top foot

you can clone while into flower, take any flowers off the cutting and be prepared to wait a while. The plant after rooting will re-veg, and you'll get some mutant leaves and stuff. Keep it in veg at least until it starts making regular leaves again.

Why not take several cuttings? Suppose the one doesn't make it?
