hi guys
im building 2 light setups with the q288 v2 boards
1 that wil run 4 boards at 2.1amp or 107W each board total 428W

2 will run 6 boards at 1.4amp or 67W each board total 402w

what lights should i use? im doing sog runs so 1 week veg and i flower
so i need the light to be for both veg and flower

i was thinking on doing with setup 1
2 4000k and 2 3000k

and in setup 2
2 rows of 2 4000k and 1 row of 2 3000k in the middle

how do you think 4000k will do in flower?

If you're vegging for one week and flowering for eight, use the light that's best for flowering - 3000K. In fact, 3000K will veg faster than 4000K too. Lots of scientific studies have shown that added red (around 620nm) promotes faster growth and higher leaf mass in veg as well as flowering. The only downside is it also promotes slightly elongated nodes - which you'll hardly notice during one week of veg.

Do all 3500 with a few 3K. 4K is great for veg but not so much for flower. I built a light using all 6 3500 & 2 4000 and wish I'd used 3000 instead.
the v2 has only 3000k and 4000k

I have both the 3k and the 4k in my room. The 4k does produce a better structure in veg but it suffers in flower. The 3k does a good job from seed to flower.
ye so looks like ill do 3000k for all thx for opinions

but i think i sew 1 guys her that did flower in 4000k only i cant find it

Firstly, I didn't mention LEDs.

Secondly, did mummy not give you enough attention? Is that why you have to quote your own posts?

Plenty more like this, sunshine - this one isn't even strictly "scientific". Mind you, you have to be able to read to know where to find and interpret scientific tests.

You failed the first qualification by not even being able to read my post properly . . .

a hps or a cmh would be 10-15x better and u will save yourself bout 800 bucks
i growing ilegali so more heat more electricity to cool down = less light cuz of the ac
i pull from 400W led the same amount i pull from 600W with much less heat and less Wattg
and i have 100cm for each setup remove the pot hight so about 80cm total so led is fitting good

You're a fuckwit. These two 400W stations produced 22oz and 24oz in 8 weeks. That's 800W of 3000K LEDs that produced over 1.6 grams per watt.

And in case you were wondering, that's exactly the same yield the rest of the stations with 600W HPS lamps have been producing in the same room. Same yield, 2/3 the wattage.

I will let you make up your own mind about the person who posted. But suffice it to say, he doesn't know anything about LEDs, is an amateur grower, and likes to pop into the LED forum every now and then to flex his intellectual disability.

As you can see, I've put my money where my mouth is: I use 3000K to flower. Indeed, the panels in the first photos are half CRI 90 3000K chips which produce more 620-660nm light than the usual CRI 80.
