Could we see a pic of the ballast wiring? Im guessing all hard wired? Why 240v (im guessing again because you had it avail?)? I love the vert setup i think thats a great way to use large lighting sources! Plus rep for monster setup!
i have a timer box hardwired to a subpanel. The timer box has 8 x 240v outlets (40 amps) and 2 x 120v outlets (10 amps). The ballasts are multi tap kits, so i wired them myself.
I transplanted the clones to some 6 pots. They are a sad looking bunch, but will become strong and green in no time, youll see. I used tap water (175ppm) and a splash of FloraNova Veg to wet the soil (300ppm total/6.45 PH).
Clones are on a 24/0 light cycle under a 400w MH. Room temperature is 73-77 and humidity is 48%.

i hope not, cause i have a small veg clone area in the base ment and the flower girls out side in a metal shed,he just says stuff thats korny.he's like a freindly plumber,"you could be right "though you never know.ha ha either wayhey bugsbunny here is a reply to "true story"
i but the plumber smelled your grow and wanted to read your reaction he is probably a grower too and was messing with you
The box uses a digital timer, which controls the power supply to the receptacles. This is the one I have. I modified the box to be able to hardwire it to the subpanel, but it's made to be plugged to a drier receptacle. I'm sure you could find a similar timer box with 120v outlets exclusively.
Thanks for the kind words... and keep the questions coming!
how close are those lights to the clones,i herd that clones like some light but not a lot of light, unless you get good results?
1000w at 240 is just 4.15amps. Dryers usually have a 30 or 50 amp circuit, so yeah it's more than enough.Would a system designed for a dryer handle that? I'll check my breaker's amperage rating and get back to you...
Hummm... hang the box... plug it in to the unused dryer outlet...
And I won't be running that much at all... total 1000 watt max...
