Nice to hear BP. Working a line to reasonable stability is becoming a lost art these days. It's good to see you guys doing things right!

db,
My NL5 and D#5 from 303 are winners FYI. Has anyone run Ski Patrol? Just picked up a pack of beans from Kind Love (and free 303 shirt). Big ups to these breeders!

Is that one flipped yet or still vegging? Mine are a little stretchy too so im trying to figure out when to flip.... they're 30" still vegging
if you don't have really high ceilings you better do it, I had to start a scrog 3 weeks in due to my shit is in the lights :/
just dropped a screen on them to save them from burning in the light, I dimmed to 600 but don't get light down lower when I go under 1kw (still don't get much light down lower at 1kw either this time). dunno how it's gonna turn out.

Imho mwles are where the real treasure lays. I think you (any of us) will find that all females from any strain of 303's gear will be keepers, u just have to pick which u like best (always a tuff and almost painful decision in its self). But finding and selecting a male (which not many of us are interested in) is a much harder proposition. Kinda just shooting in the dark. Testing progeny, keeping one male letting another go... it doesn't hapen over night. So first thanks to bp and gp for their time and effort, and props to all the home combinationists' out there selecting males for F2's of their very own. I'm cracking some biod tonight and hoping for a male to x to my sour flame og.

that's an old first gen penetrator (320 watts or so,1 watt diodes). those were some solid units. you see led dropping rows or quit working completely (including smoke) but these penetrators were def solid, my nephew had a few for sale. I'm pretty sure I should have bought them all because he ended up sacrificing them .

Cool, and yeah it looks like a tank :-) I'm guessing 40 lbs or so? Nice to see a well built, solid state piece of equipment. I'm curious about something, if you don't mind me asking. Did you originally plan to grow under the LED only and then switch to HID? I'm going to give my 240W 7-band (only pulls 130W at the plug according to my meter) one more week to see if my plants start to get some size.... if not, I may be switching to HID. The plants are lush... they're just midgets. I can buy a dimmable 400W HPS with a decent reflector for 1/2 the cost of what 2 more of those 240W LEDs cost.I hope I don't have to go there though because I travel a fair bit and would worry about all that heat packed I'm my cabinet. Afraid that if I were to lose the cooling fan while on a trip, it could all go up in smoke along with my house. The LED setup is perfect for what I want to do with almost no heat output, but only if it actual works.... 2 more of the 240W LEDs would give me 56W per sqft and one light per plant ( not quite up to par w/ Chewie's run at 1KW per plant lol) but surely that would be enough to grow it out....Sorry for dumpin this on you, but you're the only guy I've seen in here with an LED. I've tried posting some in the LED forum, and there's a couple of good guys in there, but there's so much hatin' goes on from the rest of them that I can't stand to do much research over there. Can't resist leaving a close up pic of a node of that dank5 under the LED and my youngest Snow Goddess.

I generally use led only in veg because I did one grow from start to finish with 2 blackstar 500 in a 4by4 tent and the buds game out light and airy.I'm not sure why that is because I don't remember the details but I was doing a side by side with hid , the led didn't come close to the hps but the wattage was a bit more, bigger room though too so wattage may have been pretty close really since the room is like 5by8 or so. 1000 in the room and about 650 actual led watts in the tent.

there's a couple guys here in the colorado section that use led too I think. there may be some of those pentrators left to be had, I dunno.
