36/12 light cycle???

My baby is starting the 2nd week of growth and I have been told that I need a 24/0 light cycle, no an 18/6 light cycle, no a 16/8....

But I read an article the other day about plants and even some bacteria that do very well on a 36/12 light cycle because it "tricks" the plant on how many days it has been since sleep. Then near the flowering stage trim it back a few hours per day to a 12/12 cycle.

I already started this cycle (mostly on accident, forgot to turn the light off once) a while back and the plant looks to be doing just fine.

Anyone know anything about this, or should I stick to the basics?

given where you're from why don't you just pray for the answer. hell, pray for the plant to ripen in one day.

seriously, there has been some work on exotic light cycles - GROWFAQ for flowering but i've seen nothing on light cycles for veg.

I have read in numerous places that the plant cant take in more than 18 hours of light so anything after that is just wasting your electricity. I find that plants grow faster in the veg when you go 18/6 instead of 24/0. They seem to grow faster in the dark and when they have a dark period.
I would stick to the basics and switch to 18/6. Light cycles for marijuana plants have been very researched and the cycles of what works and what does not is pretty set. if that makes sense..:?. Unless you grow alot and just have time to dick around with stuff like that. but hey, on the other hand, if its working then go for it! its your baby :weed:

LOL, if I was a praying man I would sure do just that, but I'll leave my opinions on religion in other forums

Thanks for the helpful info guys
