ok so i consolidated the living plants into one res, meaning the 18 watt air pump is no longer trying to push through 2 - 8.5 inch diameter airstones. MANY more bubbles, which is good. cleaned off any browned roots (had a bit of a slime problem ill have to keep an eye on, may have to pick up stuff for a tea treatment...) and did the same to my mother. i didnt realize how bad her roots were. the mass that hung down into the sol'n is gone. changed the water in her res, and switched to a bigger airstone i had lyin around. she seems pretty ok, pretty stable. the 4 in the tote are doing really well. many new roots and i imagine with the increase in oxygenation theyll take off soon.

if mother recovers well she'll be really cool. im betting she will. have been studying up on my dwc. pretty excited to flower this batch. prolly end up getting another pump for the other res so they stay separate. one for veg, one for flower.

everythings looking about the same here...maybe a lil noticeable difference...

except for here...WAABOOWWW!!! ROOTSPLOSION!!!

pretty crazy stuff! after just 1 day! those are 2 diff plants, although ALL are showing serious root growth. i really wish i had taken a pic yesterday! awesome. still a lil slimy at parts though...may still end up doin a treatment. but looking MUCH better! had to share with u guys... :leaf:

thanks bro! yeah they are finally starting to take off. have to raise the light up pretty soon. i want them to be pretty big when i flower them. plus im goin to have to take my clones from them cause my mother is dying pretty badly. her roots are all brown slime...any suggestions about that? i may just let her go...

sound slike root rot, from what i hear the remedy is a bath in water and hydrogen peroxide....may want to look into it though. anyways i hear that it is a little bit of work but can be remedied

so i pulled my mother out of the hydroton, and im going to replant her in soil. who knows if it will work, i dont see why not though. ima plant her in a small container so hopefully she doesnt grow much bigger, shes got a really cool bent arm (shoot) so i may just keep her as a bonsai plant. and maybe eventually flower her. idk. we shall see. anyway i will pic update later. the tote is looking really good, roots are abundant and white as can be! the little slime there is seems to be receding, at least not growing as much. hopefully the plant will take care of itself. if not i can do the tea treatment. but things seem to be going well. time to flower soon so im thinking i might set up the flower tent tonight, test everything out. still havent run it since the move, so i dont even know if anything was damaged during the move! anyway...like i mentioned afore, i will post pics tonight.

so this is after one week!

and the mother transplanted...

she lost that really cool long shoot but...i know how i did it now so i can do it again once she grows more. seems to be doing pretty well considering. i only need to take 4 clones at a time so she doesnt need to be as big as she was. i think that will be my next project, building a cloner. i have everything picked out on amazon and its not terrible on the wallet.

parts include:
2 Inch Net Pot and EZ Clone Neoprene Collar Combo - 10 Pack
PP120 : 120 GPH, Submersible, Hydroponics, Aquaponics, Statuary Pump - 6W
EZ-Clone 360 Sprayer - Qty 5

then i just need a short 1/4" tube to connect the sprayer to the pump, put that shit into the bucket that the mother was in i.e. with the pump n airstone, drill 4 holes in one of the lids i have and voila! cloner bucket! not to mention i could make 2 of those buckets minus the pump...

anyways im guna have to buy a filter soon, n im pretty sure my 6" duct fan (250 CFM) aint guna cut keepin my tent cool when i set it up for flowering. guna have to buy a high powered inline fan to solve that prob, so lookin at another buck eighty for the combo...wife will LOVE that. not to mention the fact that i have to take the clones BEFORE i put the current batch into flower, which means that i will ALSO have to purchase another air pump in order to power the other monster 8" airstone i have for the other tote that the clones will go into...ARRRGHHH!! this is an expensive sport. lol.

the wife beckons. time for dinner!

stronger pump try 500gph and i would go with an 8" fan since the price will be about the same and youll never look back. plants are looking like a full recovery though very bushy.

really poly? you think stronger? its just a 4 site cloner...all my ducts are 6 inch on my tent too so idk if an 8 inch is worth the chaching. if you can splain why...i would love to hear it!

8" with a reducer of course i know you vent are 6" all im saying abou the fan is A) bigger is quiter B) more air is always better C) if you want to experiment with some crazy lights and lighting styles it helps alot too. just more options with a sronger fan a speed controller is faily cheap and you can always dim it down, plus i have yet to find something that should be ducted with less than 6" ducting and 8" fan is only a size above that. theres a lot of reasons plus the price difference is only like 10-15$ including a reducer to 6".

trust me on the strong pump, sprayers get clogged easy, and 150gph wont get near enough pressure to make a nice spray, go to think that half of the power will drop with every ft above the pump the water has to travel this means even inches can make all the difference(i have a lot of exp building aerocloners)

well that makes sense. lol. didnt realize it wasnt that much of a price diff. and i think its the same scenario for the pump. kudos poly.

what else do i need to know about what im doin poly? lol. so this is where IM at...

i fed these ladies (cleaned/filled the resevoir) a week ago. they drank about a gallon so far. i was going to top them off with fresh water and then next weds empty and redo the res. i literally dont check ph, ppm, nothing. not yet. it IS working. anyway how much bigger/how much longer should i veg them for?

as for the aerocloner, how full should it be? should i use more than one nozzle? are there any other things i should know about them that isnt inherently obvious?

yeah a 500gph for like 3 gal of water is perfect as far asmore "fitting" i would buy a pie cutter(little clamp thing costs about 3$) and build the spray diaphram with pcv, the 1/4 pvc male threaded to slip adapter should fit your pump perfectly. with a 500gph pump you could probably do 6 nozzles and try to make it so each nozzle is for one cutting.

as far as the ladys... you need to check you pH and ppm levels but hey whatever works you can probably still grow hydro with out those things but they ensure optimum conditions, he way thier looking i would veg till i got some more clones rooted and as soon as you get them make the switch so maybe a week or 2 max.

looking greta man, i hope by this time next week i see some nice little roots on my clones, i cut them all from plants that are a few weeks into flower so the clones have some nice little buds on them that will reveg into a pretty nice bushy plant.

if these flowered cutting take to cloning i think i will take all my clones from flowering plants. this will allow me to stay shorter but still have a good amount of branching in minimal container size.
