3RD Time's a Charm- Bagseed and Crazy Clone

Today turned out to be a beautiful day so I put the girls( fingers crossed) into the south window for some natural energy. They sure seem to be loving it. just thought I would put up a few of them sunbathing.

The girls are doing good! After I had them in the sun last weekend I went to do some celebrating for my b-day and forgot to check how moist they were. When I checked them on Monday, they were dry as hell and wilted. The clone came back realy good so she was not that dry. The other girl though drank every last drop of water and got hurt a little. She has just been chilling after her water and she is now starting to perk up. Maybe a little stressed out but she will be ok. I have faith in the Ganja God's watching over them.

I will post up some pics later today, I gotta go to work.

OK so its day 15 of flower for the girls, yes I said girls! As you can see from the pic, the last of the four bag-seed turned out to be a girl. I think I am going to name here Ziva!

As I said earlier, Ziva was stunted a little from letting her dry out a bit and then she had to go into transpiration mode to get rid of the water I fed here. She has started to take off again and the buds are to forming nicely. Next feeding is going to be with the Dynagro since I flushed em good with the last watering and they are still stretching. I am sure they will be hungry and it is a complete food. The Dynagro is high in Nitrate N2 so it will be readily available to the plant and hopefully prevent any deficiencies from cropping up.

Well it looks like Ziva might have a touch of N2 toxicity, Going to water her with just straight water the next three times per my mentor. Just a little plug for Riddleme.kiss-ass Going to have to keep a close eye on her to make sure she doesn't develope a deficiency.

Newbie mistake. The bad thing with these bagseed is I don't know if any 2 seds are the same. I don't know about you but I used to just throw em in a jar and collect em. Truly never realy thought I would grow anything but here I am.

OK, so its day 22 of 12/12 and were are still going. Mariska's canopy looks really sweet with all those buds popping though. Now for Ziva? HMMM!!! She still hanging in there too, but not as good. Man I am not sure Whit happened but I fucked something up. She was doing so good. Anyway, I up-canned her on the 5th, I know you shoud not do it in flowering but I wanted to give her some fresh soil to sit in while she finishes her job. The buds are doing nice but the leaves are still clawing up. I have only given here straight water and I think she is starting to show a mag def. Gonna have to wait a day or so to water again because she is still trying to get ride of the last watering.

Speaking of R/O water? I think I am going to scrape the idea and go with one of the pitcher filters so I don't have to worry as much about Ca and Mg deficiencies. It gets to be a pain in the ass trying to catch it once it starts.

I germinated some more seeds this week and one has popped so far.(This one should be female because this bean is one of three I found in my last grow.) You can see the other one pushing at the dirt to get free so we will have to wait and see what she turns out to be. Those two will stay with my other two girls and go 12/12 from seed. The rest of the seeds will go in the veg box as they crack and put in the dirt. I am hoping to get a mother from one of the remaining seeds and keep her for clones to try and make my room perpetual.

Hey Big, all looking good No issues at all repotting during flowering if done carefully and its often a good way to overcome any problems as it does give some fresh soil for those roots to dig into, free of any build up etc, I've done it myself in the past and its often easier than trying to flush big pots At this stage youre well on your way to big buds so don't worry about a few 'bad' fan leafs, sometimes it happens. All looks good to me my friend .

As always MS, thanks for the input. I have been trying to get a handle on this R/O water and what needs to be suplimented as far as Mg and Cal. It seems that the Mg deficiencies crop up faster than the other problems so once it starts, it can wipe out the fans in a couple days. The buds seem to be bulking up and frosting over nicely. I added a 68w 2700k a couple weeks back and now I am pushing 434 watts, 132w 6500k and 302w of 2700k. Trying to keep a mixed spectrum to get em to bulk up.

Well its day 32 of 12/12 and the girls are bulking up nicely. The tricombs on Ziva are exploding out everywhere so I am sure she is happier with the new soil I put her in. She is kicking out three times the trich's this time around. Mariska is looking good also except for needing a little N2. She is starting to bulk up and fill in all the tops that are poking out.(13 of em)lol. You can also see the new little babies I have in with em. These are the girls,fingers crossed, that will be grown 12/12 from seed. They are doing good and starting to grow pretty quickly.

I also have 5 more babies in the veg cab that are off and running so I should see some improved growth in the next few days. Of the five, I am hoping to get a mother out of them, but we will just have to see.

On a side note about the bag-seeds. I have found that working with unknown genetics can be a tricky task. Just the act of getting them to germinate seems to be a more difficult task than when working with quality seeds. IMO, it seems that these seeds tend to be more adversely affected by newbie mistakes than quality genetics so that is why I am choosing to learn the ropes with bag-seed and wait to order the quality beans in the future. This learning curve also lets me work out the fine details of what works and what does not work in my grow area.

Hey svc, thanks for stopping in. They are starting to get really stinky. If ya take a couple deep breaths of Ziva, she smells a little lemony/green smelling. You don't really smell it till ya get real close and take deep breaths. Mariska the clone smells more of the plant green folliage if ya know what I mean. lol I don't know if that explains it or not. but she is not as strong as Ziva.
