3x3 Tent - 315 CMH or 2 288 Quantum Boards?

Looking for light advice in a 3x3 tent.. moving on from my trusty blurple...

CMH:
- 315w CMH (Armour Series Ballist / Reflector)
- vertical bulb
- Philips 3100

or...

Quantum Board DIY project:
- Two 288V2 boards (252pcs top bin lm301B and 36pcs epistar 660nm)
- Two separate heatsinks (allowing me to position them for best spread)
- meanwell driver HLG-240H-48AB
- color temp: 3000 with additional red diodes


I know the CMH is ideal for the 3x3 footprint, but will the 2 heatsinks / 288 set-up allow for the same sort of light spread?

With the genuine HLG 260w extra wide kit you can cover a 3x3 . I don't imagine these are genuine but on two separate heatsinks you will be able to get decent light spread, probably less efficiency but they grow weed well regardless.

The cmh also offers a great spectrum and good light spread.

I own genuine Quantum boards and a cmh but only used the cmh for flowering once so couldn't say which provides higher yield and not been in USA don't have the facilities to test potency. By eye , nose or lungs I couldn't say one was obviously better.

I think you will be happy with either choice to b honest. But do check the cmh threads and QB threads to see the best examples of others grows with both lights.
