3x3 Tent - Quantum 288 V2 (watts per sq ft?)

So I've just switched from a 315 CMH to a Meiju LED package that is designed to function like the HLG 550 V2. I'm curious what wattage to run the light at in a 3x3.

Actual light specs:
- Fomex Plus V2 480H (3000k+660nm)
- 4pcs 288plus V2 (lm301b LEDs and 660nm IR LEDs)
- Meanwell HLG-480H-C2800AB

Tent and Venting:
- 3x3 tent with 4" duct booster for intake and a 6" CanFan running thru a 4" Stealth fan to exhaust

Currently have the light set to 40 Watts per Square FT (360 watts from wall), but temps at base of tent are 84, and 86 just below the light.

If I run the light at 37 watts per square ft (335 watts from the wall), I can keep my temps down to 80. Would this be dimmed too much for adequate bud density? A buddy runs the same light in his 4x4 tent at 450 watts and suggested I try to do the same - he has a larger foot print and larger fans though (I'm limited to 4" duct holes in my 3x3).

I loved the bud density from my 315 CMH and want to try to improve upon that with new LED if possible.

Any tips or input is greatly appreciated.

Semi-strain dependent but you'll want 30-40 watts per square foot. So 270-360.

Well ive run 260w kits (285w at the wall) in 2x4s and multiples of 2x4s and buds are dense.

I would go for 280-320w range.

Don't measure air temps directly under the light.
84f is a good temp for LED growing.
