3x3x6 tent, How should I do it this time?

3x3x3 tent with 400w hps and 4 or 5 big ass cfl's, Last grow I didnt use my cfl's and did 5 plants in 3 gallon pots with a tad more than a month veg. Needless to say it was out of control, the pots were to small, and my lower branches and buds suffered the neglect of light. I want a larger yield this time, I was thinking 4 plants 2-3 weeks veg and a producing strain, I cant do sativas though.
Anyone experied the serious seeds chronic strain?
Anyways I would love suggestions on what do with my set up, and strains, and how to get a semi fast yet productive crop to get me through fall and winter.

I would leave the cfls out, 400w shoud be plenty for that size tent, plus they would be in the way more then anything

alright buddy, im doing a 60x60x140cm dark room grow tent. struggling on the selection of seeds too. Want to get some northern lights but dont know if it would do well in such size. Would you mind posting out your list of equipments?

Well Ive go a Secret Jardin DR100, 400w mh/hps light, easy cool 6 hood, have a 424 cfm fan and filter, and a bunch of little clip on oscilating fans, I guess thats about it,
I plan on using fox farm ocean forest again, but this time mix it with 50/50 with light warrior. But I dont know if I should do 3 5gallon pots or 4 smaller pots.

I also wanted some northern lights, but have been looking for something with more yield, but I cant do sativas, anxiety, I need a heavy indica or something similar. I was looking at Northern light x Big Bud from world of seeds though.

I guess your right,I did however grow 4 fatty EasyRyder (avatar photo) autos with those alone, got 1 1/2 each off of two of them, the others were tiny phenos, But they kicked some ass. They actually gave me way harder compact buds than the hps, but I think its because you can put those closer, and work with the height differences. Basically I still need to get my chops up working with the HID, Its not just plug in and grow, youve really got to work your shit.

hey bro iv been doing the 3x3 400w thing for alittle while now check out my grow in my sig for some ideas!

personally the added cfl's are a little over kill just because my 200 actual watts of cfls will not transpire into 200 extra grams of bud.... unless using them in the lower parts of the plants below the canapy were the 400w dosent penetrate.

Consider LST? Super cropping? Ways to keep your canopy even and lower. Will increase yield. Doesnt matter how many plants you do theoreticly. Based on the amount of light each plant gets. You could do 20 plants under a 1000 W or 5 and your yield will be the same. decrease the work and concentrate on healthy girls ,easier to manage etc.

You are right, I should start researching Lst, do you need a longer veg with super cropping?

I havent started the grow yet cause im still lost in the equipments. little hand please?

how many plants do you reckon i can fit in my 60x60x140 grow tent? I was thinking of having four square pots but thinking about it now it might be a very tight squeeze for the plants.
i was looking at northern lights too. Will you be applying low stress training?

I might do a little LST, and I was looking at Northern lights too, the ones I want are expensive though, Nirvanas arent the greatest in the world I hear.
