something is def not right here...i think it may be your ph or something along thoselines, try calibrating your ph meter as well...theres always a reason a plant just stops doing its thing, esp a plant that big, they dont just die off..huge plants can usually always survive pretty rough trauma. i does look like an over or under water but if all the airstones are working and stuff like that then i think u think your ph is one place and its really another, causing lockout and eventually death, thats really the only thing i can think of, ive grown dwc many many times and have never seen anything like this, there has to be one single thing u did or something that happened that caused this, plants dont just droop and die off...weird shit

haven't been on the threads in a while, but didn't want to leave this post open-ended. the reason the plant died was because it was sustained only by a rapid rooter in hydroton. The weight of the plant was too much for the rooter with no support. It was always shifting very badly and i ignored it and rested it against the wall for balance. over time it must have shifted so much it cracked at the stem base below the rooter. this allowed bacteria to eat at the plant until it couldn't fight any more. i didn't see the signs fast enough: yellowing leaves at the base and a constant ph with no ec movement. after it died i uprooted it and smelled ammonia at the stem base which basically turned to mush. the roots; however, were very healthy. before i could grab some tomato cages for the other 4 footers another plant fell over due to the weight, splitting the stem, and uprooting itself at the base. that one though was a healthy plant. total loss and a very expensive lesson learned.
