4 Plants, 400w Hps

My first complete grow journal. I'm doing this as a new issue has appeared in my grows and I can seem to figure it out. It started half way through my last grow without any reason or change and has now appeared again at the start of my new grow! All advice welcome! ¦0)

Ph is kept at 6.4
Using Bio-Bizz Organic Nutrients at their advised doeses
Using Tap water to feed. Ph of tapwater is around 9. Altered after nutes added.
Using Peat free compost

Problems getting more and more apparent! Plants are getting Bio-Grow nutrients at every watering.

Rust spots everywhere!!

This is how they look today!

They are still in veg until I get this sorted!

This is driving me mad! Could it be calcium or something else in the water?
I leave the water sitting overnight to allow chlorine to evaporate.

What soil? How often do you water?

Pete free compost mixed with pearlite. They get watered once a day at the min. Just when the soil is dry

try giving them some cal mag looks like they need some.

Might be overwatering, how are you judging the soils moisture? Also, did you try to fix the cal def by adding something?

I see its not dear stuff so thats worth a try. Seems to be more for hydro though?

No I haven't treid to fix anything other than Ph of water

Just judging by the look of the soil and the weight of the pot. They are in small pots at the min so so are drying quick

Up-pot them into something with dolomite lime and don't use the bio-bloom in veg.

If they can drink up all the water in one day then the soil is probably just high and dry, further complicating everything its easy to burn root-bound plants

only using bio-grow at the min. No bio-bloom or top max. Starting a wee bit of alg-a-mic in the mix tomorrow.
Will up pot tomorrow also. Was aware it was time anyway. Have no dolomite lime tho.

-Dolomite lime
-oyster shell flour w/epsom salts
-lilly's sweet lime w/epsom salts

These do take time to break down, but will save your ass during flower time once they start clicking. Once you have your soil dialed in with these things then you can keep the ball rolling by recycling soil.

You need some type of buffer with cal and mag and your bottled feedings will be less problematic

So will i get that stuff in a normal garden suppliers?

i have epsom salts. Are all these things to allow the plants to use all the nutrients? Do you think its nutrient lockout?

So I did some research and the lime we use on the farm is the same stuff, it's just ground finer. So I've plenty lime!
I've ordered Cal-Mag as well and it should be here in a few days.

So lets say I'm mixing a gallon of compost. How much lime do I use?

A tsp (dolomite lime) per gallon would be a good start, 2tsp/g if needed. Careful, there's different types of lime and they work differently..

Woops! that little? I guess that explains why my run off water was ph of 10.4

I put about a tsp per ltr or compost.

2 of the plants were more pot bound than i expected.

Lol yeah thats 2-4x too much... Transplant into the proper ratio soil and let it ride out.
Hit up the organic section look around at the soil builds.
