4 weeks and no flowers?

Been under 12/12 for just over 4 weeks now and there really is NO bud sites. At first I was just thinking it was a strain issue or just taking a little time for the plant to realize what is going on but this just seems to be going longer than I expected based on my last two grows...

Strain is Headband, sativa dominate plant, was vegged for about 45 days under a 600w then 4 weeks ago switched to a 1K hps. They did the normal final stretch and for about a week and a half stopped that, hairs are there but not like I would expect. This is also happening to an Indica strain (Master Kush) I did the same thing with (5 headband and 1 master this time). Maybe it is just me getting anxious, but shouldn't there be SOME bud formation after the 3rd week in flower? Or is Headband a strain I will have to flower 10+ weeks and this is just typical for this strain?

I will try to upload a few other pics that are closer in the next day or so when I go back.

Sativas can take like 14ish weeks in flowering thats the downside of them sort of longer flowering. Give it a few more weeks and buds will start to form. Dont worry sativas take there time.

light leaks and high nitrogen feedings can seriously delay flower... chk for leaks and give a good flush then feed lightly with bloom ferts.... most plants ive grown dnt grow much hair until the week after the streatch so at 4 weeks you should be starting to form lil nuggets then they will fatten in the last few weeks flowering

loooooooong flowering strains may be a lil longer not sure havent grown one in a couple years years

Thanks for the advice guys, No light leaks and even so if it was light are cycled so that they are off at night, I was also thinking along these lines and thought maybe it was an issue with my timers not working proper but I am beginning to think it is just the strain. I was hoping for an 8 week cycle and guess this is NOT the strain for those goals and I will have to make some adjustments for this I guess. I knew better, I know sativa's can go much longer than 8 weeks.

OK, thanks guys. My partner and I are idiots, just needed to flip the switch on the timers!!! I kept asking if the lights were going off and he told me they were, finally realized it when I was over after lights were supposed to out and after about an hour after it was supposed to be dark I looked at my watch and realized the issue was the timers, once the switch was flipped all was good! F**K 45 days lost, but they are now frickin HUGE!!! New problems to deal with and solve..

<------ well deserved!!! LOL

:cuss: at first and he doesn't even :eyesmoke: I was like of all people to let that one slip figured it would be :bigjoint: ME! But hey a bit of LST, bigger container, bit of supplemental lighting and a little trim-trim and hopefully we just increased yield vs previous expectations.

if the plants are huge just chop off the top and wait a few days than flower...or bend em anything to get the hight down and even up the canopy so the lights evenly distributed

Oh man im pretty sure somebody will document this in a Hall of Shame growing thread:clap:
So have you been thinking about training? Supercropping?

Yeah, for sure. Building a trellis and some LST, they are going to need support anyways so I figure this would be easiest. Had to flush and get them back healthy again they have some issues that now make all the sense in the world, after all I was giving them flower nutes while keeping them on a ver cycle, I think it'll be ok in a few days they don't look all that bad...
