400 Watt Boss Hog and Northern Light Grow

I am restarting my thread due to certain reasons, here is week 2 so far and I plan on vegging up until the 4th week. These will be natural as I will not top or fin or anything else except rotate my crops every day 90 degrees to provide optimum light to all sides for a even area of growth.

This is a 2x3x5 area grow tent, along with a 6 inch vortex fan, phat muffler, phresh carbon filter which do a good job working together to reduce noise of the unit. I am currently growing 4 regular northern light seeds from Nirvana along with 1 Boss Hog from cali connections and really hoping to come out with 3 NL female along with the BH.
This is my first real grow, I attempted hydro years back but that never worked out. This will be a control group to base everything else off of, fro the most part. I am not doing anything to adjust the plant except fro rotating the crops 90 degrees every day for adequate light on all sides.

Comments are appreciated!

I'm doing a 400 w grow in a smaller sized tent as well.. you have low ceiling also? Just asking because of the 5 foot height...

I'm along for the ride..

What are you using for soil? you won't be adding any nutrients?

Ahh, forgot to add nutes, I will be using Dyna Gro Grow, bloom and protekt. I will use a 50/50 mix of grow and bloom for flowering. My soil is Fox Farms Ocean Forest. My ceiling is also 5 feet, which allows about 3-4 feet of head room for the plants, I plan on vegging them at 4 weeks which doesnt seem to be getting to high for me, since my plants are predominately indica and the nodes are all close together the stretch is minimal right now.

I decided to add some LED to the grow for some supplemental lighting so I will be purchasing an Apollo 8 from cidlys in the coming weeks. I have seen good reviews on it and for the price it cant be beat, plus it has a 3 year warranty, s if it lasts even that long I will definitely get more then my moneys worth. It is a total of 270 watts, now I need to find the correct spectrum before I order so any suggestions please feel free to comment on.

That hibiscus pic threw me for a second until I read your descript. Lol, too early in the morning, need coffee.

So they are about 10" now? My flip was when I hit 24" knowing I would end up somewhere around 30-36". My plants climbed to 29" (but that is strain and grow room specific).

Plants look good, including hibiscus. We have them on our patio, beautiful flowers.

Okay, I was actually going to ask you what your height was when you switched, yous is a indica sativa hybrid though right? Mine are predominately indica so I am expecting shorter and bushier plants then yours. I'm expecting mine to get around 12-16" for the flip, atleast the largest of them atleast but who knows they may stay relatively small and just branch out. So far the nodes are being created pretty fast and the production is going into all of the side growth with little new growth at the top.

This will be my first time the hibiscus flowers so it will be interesting to get a little precursor to the cannabis flowering.

Correct, indica sativa hybrids. My only regret was not letting them veg longer to get another 8-12 inches on them and increase my yeild. My roots were maxing out my 3-gal containers so probably couldn't get much more production anyway. I'm going with 5 gallon next time, smart pots, and a super soil mix I will make a couple months before transplanting seedlings. Dry harvest weigh in is today.

Looking forward to it!

As each grow passes you'll only learn how to yield more and more
Yeah, I did the math last night on my dry weight harvest. This current grow will yeild my personal consumption quota for 2.5 years!

So, I'm just growing now for strain variety, improving my skills, and giving me something to do so I don't drive my wife nuts.
