400 watt hps autoflowering grow question

starting my second grow.will go for autos due to lack of time.have six seeds germinated for now..thinking to order another pack and go for 9-10 auto plants.if ı use 2 gallon pots ı dont have space problem,my reflector is ok and have mylar shits.is it ok to go 9-10 plants under 400 watt hps?or ı should just stay with 6?

Well I dont grow Autos, but I have used a 400w setup in a grow tent (growing 4 plants), I would say 6 is a better number than having 9 bunched up together as you want the plants to have some spacing. A 400w light will proved enough light for a 4' X 4' canopy (depending on the reflector), so that being said I would only plant as many Auto's as you can get in a 4x4 foot area.

Having done autos and used a 400w I wouldn't do more then 6 at a push. I would personally be mere comfortable at 4. Not to say can't do 6.
